Which is why I think the Bears should wait until the NRL considers basing a team on the Central Coast. It wouldn't hurt the Bears to relocate to Gosford and rebrand as the Central Coast Bears at all levels. That way they'll help the game grow in an important market.

Legally they couldn’t, as North Sydney have had the Bears logo first and foremost.

One of the reasons GWS is failing is because they play a few home games in Canberra. They are not a full time team in Sydney.

he specifically mentioned GWS … an expansion team trying to compete as a secondary sport against an established behemoth just like the Perth NRL team will be ..

The Dragons are irrelevant because they are part of the dominant code already and have been around a 100 years ,,,they could play all their games in Dapto if they wanted too
