Equal? Giving concessions to one team and not another isn't equal, if you cant do what the others are doing on the same amount of funds, then you cant complain and aren't deserving of a license..
All you are is looking for handouts
You said it

some clubs have more advantages than others

the arlc has been too weak to stand up to the rich clubs

and this affects Penrith

roosters won’t allow genuine salary cap concessions for juniors

the system is wrong all of it

regional sides and non heartland teams need some help

the treatment of the warriors over 30 years is a scandal

Not hard to guess which one is Perth
Actually is as we don't know yet. We know they may struggle to build a winning team but may be financially be a powerhouse. A Western Bears may be one of the boggest clubs in the comp, or it may be a train wreck. The bid might have massive investment behind it and the WA govt giving sweet deals, or it may not. None o fus a re privvy to what the strengths or weaknesses are of any bid at this point for all our gaslighting.

but that's the point, not all teams are equal in revenue, player attraction, local jnr participation levels, fanbase and corporate appeal etc. At the moment we have a system that treats them all as equals in everything. Its dumb and simplistic.

Not for the good of the game

only because the commission is weak and the clubs run it

look at the afl

yes its an extreme

but if they didn’t do this their expansion clubs would be dead except the swans

Gold Coast 25 million vs wce 10.5 million
Its not just expansion, they recognize some of their established heartland clubs are also not equal and need greater support to be successful.
The AFL grant avgs out at around (2022) $18.75 mill a year per club but Melbourne, North Melbourne, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs and the expansion sides all received higher than the avg.

Best thing about afl is they don’t die wondering

rugby league half tries something then when it fails shrugs its shoulders and continues on regardless

afl is too much of an extreme but the nrl is the opposite extreme

Agreed, they do give expansions clubs massive leg ups. The good thing is our expansion options don't need that level of support. But expansion could be much much more successful if done properly and supported accordingly. AFL announcing they'll spend $126mill over 10 years on Tassie participation and player development if they get a club is a good example of doing it right.

Problem is a PNG team isnt signing Australian or Kiwi players, why would you go there? so its reliant on PNG players, and guess what ,theyll jump ship to another club first chance in all likelihood. Having to be on the road for 24 games a yr is batsht crazy and makes the concept of PNG in Cairns unviable, imo.

Perth would have the same issues and would need to develop

A thought has just occurred to me.. IF it turns out that the NRL just has the appetite for one more SEQ team when expanding to 20, what's the chances that the losing bid (whether it be Jets or Brisbane Easts or some new entity) make a play to buy the Broncos or Titans?
I expects Bris-Easts to buy out the Broncos

Just like they did with their old LC

Because not all things are equal. Its equity over equality. Do I need to post the pic again? We've let some clubs struggle along on verge of going bust and unable to invest in growing the club whilst others in more fortuitous circumstances rake big profits. Its nuts really.
That dumb pic of the three folk trying to watch a game over a fence and not pay for proper ticketed seat with the rest of the crowd..

Basically its perth as the little kid wanting a hand out again... yeah great advertisement for communism...

..create a team or comp worthy of one, then bid, otherwise your city offers the league nothing in return that the other bids already can provide
