No he said team 18 should also be from BrisbaneHe obviously did, as he got his way lol. A national comp is priority is what he said. Its hard to argue unless your a braindead troll on here.
as usual you are cherry-picking again

He actually said that one of the failed bids 'COULD' be team 18.No he said team 18 should also be from Brisbane

Failed Brisbane bidsHe actually said that one of the failed bids 'COULD' be team 18.
This happens quite a lot im afraid, if its not all about Perth, then its a failure...Waits for Perth red to points our weaknesses of Perth bid whilst he white ants rival bids with vigour
haha COULD. Politis is smart, he knows the best revenue growth opportunity for the NRl is to have Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane3 in the comp.Failed Brisbane bids
there were no other bids Einstein
stop cherry-picking
Its not grant time now, and its the ARLC who are talking about it, not the clubsThey've been trying to get clubs on perpetual licenses of 20 years. Its the clubs only threat when it comes to negotiation of grant time.
you do realise travel for Wellington or PNG would be same or worse than Perth? Or are we putting a 3 hr travel limit on any new NRL club? lolThis happens quite a lot im afraid, if its not all about Perth, then its a failure...
'95 north qld cowboys came into the comp, if they can exist, any team anywhere can exist, its all about what are we getting in return for it...
Perth pros= national game/sponsors? 2 million pop
Perth cons= no player stocks weakens comp, travel is 5hours away for everyone
Every other bid (Pasifika/Cairns, Nz, seq)
Pros= player stocks, no player drain, no weaker comp, population varies depending on location,
To me if the game is set to expand, what are we getting out of it, i mean if its a drain on the talent pool, then no club will accept an 18th team that isn't currently offering competitive reserve graders in return.. if Perth purchase a plane, then they win hands down, as a private plane to be used by the NRL for all clubs would solve a lot of logistics and also money long term, the NRL did float tge idea to buy one around the time covid was causing headaches for the code
NRL/ARLC have been the ones trying to get clubs to agree to it for two decades! Clubs will keep refusing because a break away is the only threat they have other than removing Directors. Its not grant time now, and its the ARLC who are talking about it, not the clubs
It’s the arlc talk of Sydney clubs being forced to relocate to qld or Perth will never happen (the boss of the qrl wanted a Sydney team moved to Perth so qld could get another nrl club)Its not grant time now, and its the ARLC who are talking about it, not the clubs
I said 5 minimum, not 3 are you unable to comprehend numbers that's a lot of flight time to be airborne, especially when your injured or hurting, but going off the pirates sg ball team scores, the only injuries might be winners cramps for over-celebrating... nah seriously, i get other codes have teams in WA, and travel isn't everything, but YOU need to convince the other 17 clubs that your better or can offer something more than the nothing your offering, if your not providing players right now, what are you worth, coz any bid that wins, ANY bid gets a 9th game and a larger broadcast deal, its about what NRL gets out of it for going to Perth, over somewhere close like another qld bidyou do realise travel for Wellington or PNG would be same or worse than Perth? Or are we putting a 3 hr travel limit on any new NRL club? lol
Ok but it doesn't change the fact that the licenses are set to be for 99 years, and if thats so nobody, I MEAN NOBODY goes anywhere unless they themselves choose to do soIt’s the arlc talk of Sydney clubs being forced to relocate to qld or Perth will never happen (the boss of the qrl wanted a Sydney team moved to Perth so qld could get another nrl club)
It’s the arlc calming the clubs down so they don’t unite and stop expansion like they tried too with the dolphinsOk but it doesn't change the fact that the licenses are set to be for 99 years, and if thats so nobody, I MEAN NOBODY goes anywhere unless they themselves choose to do so
So no NRL team in PNG or Wellington? Both 4-6 hour flightsI said 5 minimum, not 3 are you unable to comprehend numbers that's a lot of flight time to be airborne, especially when your injured or hurting, but going off the pirates sg ball team scores, the only injuries might be winners cramps for over-celebrating... nah seriously, i get other codes have teams in WA, and travel isn't everything, but YOU need to convince the other 17 clubs that your better or can offer something more than the nothing your offering, if your not providing players right now, what are you worth, coz any bid that wins, ANY bid gets a 9th game and a larger broadcast deal, its about what NRL gets out of it for going to Perth, over somewhere close like another qld bid
The Warriors have been in the NRL for 28 years, they have had multiple owners, they have been broke, they changed their colours to match their national side, they even straightened the tongue on their logo thinking the way the tongue was pointing was bad mojo, NZ is way bigger than PNG with lots of rugby union and league players and that’s not even going into the economics of PNG itself. The same warriors who are running 2nd?

I doubt it, its more like to stop anyone talking about how the clubs should operate or where they shpuld operate, bruce hatcher is a fkn moron, he was the biggest rival to expansion, and now swung around as soon a the dolphins made a splash.. tge clubs will get on board if they see that there getting something out of expansion, players on the other hand are the major hurdle, RLPA are all about money, they wanted a vote, they can go and get f**ked, the only votes that should matter are the clubs themselvesIt’s the arlc calming the clubs down so they don’t unite and stop expansion like they tried too with the dolphins
Clubs know theres never been any real threat of them going anywhere, hence why for the last 20 years they have refused to sign perpetual licenses. In theory youd think they wan that becuase it gives them security, in reality they are under no threat of being kicked our or relocated so wont give up their only nargaining chip when it comes to grant negotiations time. If they are offering it then the NRl must be sweetening the deal with something? Theyve been trying for years!Ok but it doesn't change the fact that the licenses are set to be for 99 years, and if thats so nobody, I MEAN NOBODY goes anywhere unless they themselves choose to do so
Yeh the dope didn’t want the dolphins in the nrl since it would weaken his precious little qrlI doubt it, its more like to stop anyone talking about how the clubs should operate or where they shpuld operate, bruce hatcher is a fkn moron, he was the biggest rival to expansion, and now swung around as soon a the dolphins made a splash.. tge clubs will get on board if they see that there getting something out of expansion, players on the other hand are the major hurdle, RLPA are all about money, they wanted a vote, they can go and get f**ked, the only votes that should matter are the clubs themselves
Yep. Hopefully the bid has this money sorted and haven't got their hand out to the NRL.Salary cap dispensation for signing players from outside the NRL
Relocation allowance in cap
Serious investment in WA participation
just for starters
Thats not a reason to expand, what are we getting in return? Sure as shit ain't players... the effort to travel outwards to Perth, PNG or Wellington etc, is only worth it if theres a carrot, you offer nothing but a city and a possibility of juniors in a decade, thats not an instant incentive to stick it out in WA, we have team in RL playing areas we are already doing that for, Gold coast is a prime example of that, the NRL want players and player stocks over this misguided perception of a "national" game... i mean how insulting is it to call the premier rugby comp in the world not worthy of recognition, just coz it never had a Perth team in this itteration of itSo no NRL team in PNG or Wellington? Both 4-6 hour flights
You'd best tell the Perth professional sports team in EVERY sporting code except NRL that are currently managing it then lol
Our worth is in bringing another capital city of 2.2mill tot he competition and growing NRL. Sponsors, tv, national appeal. Politis knows.
