Well the Dolphins are correcting what should have happened twenty odd years ago (at least)

Long term is important though. We have to sell the game to the most amount of people that we can
True

Exactly as I have been saying all along, more news will come in August when the NRL double header is played.
I told you these non negotiables would start to grey once the real talks heat up lol.
Wow

so all the forum experts were just making up bs again

I’m shocked

Reality is Perth will average crowds of 15k and will add probably 50k max new tv viewers at best

long term it help the nrl but they won’t be a game changer like the dolphins
So bigger than the 9k last night in the gong. Where you reckon there are more fans?

No juniors

without the feeder club from Cronulla or roosters they would be weak af
I mentioned this the other day about Newtown, though they are a very sound administrative run club they have no established pathways system which is what a WA team would desperately need.
As I have already mentioned the Bears have an established pathways system with Harold Matthews, S.G.Ball, NSW Cup (men) and Tarsha Gale and Harvey Norman (women) and would definately had Jersey Flegg.
With this Newtown news, I have other thoughts on what may be happening and the media only have gotten part of the story.
Time will tell.

I’ve had a good laugh at how quickly the perth fanboys have liked the idea of linking with Newtown without knowing a thing about the clubs history and the demographics of modern Day Newtown

Who in the media is anti bears? They all seem very pro bears. Are you worried that the NRL may have stopped talking to them?
No sorry, no not anti Bears in the media at all, I just have a feeling from Daniel Dicksons comments that Newtown maybe involved in the WA-Bears talks which could be WA-Bears-Newtown talks. Two NSW Cup sides feeding into WA would certainly be better than one.
I think you’ll find Cronulla will have their own NSW Cup side very soon like all the NRL sides are beginning to do.

Stop misrepresenting his argument

he’s saying without a good bid from a particular location the location means nothing
No he isn’t, that goes without saying. What he has said is the nrl won’t choose location/s and will look at bids from anywhere. It’s nonsense.

The NRL should just accept a Perth bid and then tell Norths and Jets they’re the feeder teams. Perth gets its own team and Jets and Bears can feel special.

In the "Foundation club to give Perth some kinda cred in the eyes of the NSW-centric administration" stakes, there's competitive tension.

Perth could definitely leverage that.
