Here we go, it’s the dumb and dumber show again.

yes we have jnrs
no we don’t have enough and we don’t have the quality pathways established to sustain a club from day one
yes partnering with a current second tier club or two will be necessary
yes any new club is going to sign from the existing player pool for first few seasons, see dolphins
Yes ARL/arlc have negelcted their mandate to grow rugby league across australia
yes going from 10k WA players to under 1k was a disaster for the game and the lack of effort to reverse it back is shameful by the ARL/arlc.
yes rl history is littered with self interest and poor decisions. The reds is but one of many
Not sustainable then lol

after all the crap you slung at Sydney and how the nrl needed a Perth nrl team to go places it’s funny you now think you need the jets on board

Such a hypocrite, where’s your disdain at dolphins, allegedly one of the strongest heartland clubs, getting on board three other feeder clubs? What’s good for the goose and all that!

Looks like they 2nd lowest average after Adelaide, but yeah nrl's fault
eh? stop trolling. If your saying Perth deserved to go because of their 1997 crowd avg then presumably you must feel the same about all these others as well? Or are you just being an arse as usual?

Gold Coast 8,958
Canterbury 8,815
Wests 8,602
Perth 8,776
Illawarra 8,695

WB - Perth are weak because they need feeder clubs, but its great that the Dolphins have 3 feeder clubs

Pippen - Perth deserved to go because they had no fans, but those clubs with less fans deserved to remain

Classic LU trolling lads.

What are those figures?! In super league the lowest drawing teams in home & away games were Adelaide & Perth.

Why would you count away games? We are talking about how many fans turn up at home games. You know the clubs actual fanbase lol.

You do touch on a good poitn though, some clubs benefit from away fans (sydney and SEQ) whilst clubs like Perth, NZ, Adelaide etc are 100% home fans showing their home fanbase was actually even better than many homeland clubs. Nice pick up!

Lol, it's the reason Perth trying to saddle up with jets. Teams like Perth are fan repellant in away games.

Remember fox picked teams for nrl, so that tells us about their TV rating too lol

Haha, you thought away games attendances somehow reflect the travelling clubs fanbase. That’s a good one even by your very low standards. There’s dumb, then theres you!

it’s the home clubs job to fill seats, not the away team lol.

Shows low interest. Coupled with low ratings meant reds couldn't stay. That's on reds.

It’s funny how quickly you jumped on board the idea of Perth and Newtown jining forces

I mean not even the great man John singleton (google him) and a grand final appearance could keep the jets going

Perth picked one of the worst nswrl clubs to join with

“News Corp reports that the talks with the Jets and a WA Government working group led by Labor MP Peter Tinley have settled on critical elements of a bid, including keeping the Jets name and colours, as well as the reserve-grade side to act as a feeder to the Perth side.

It also includes playing games in Sydney at either Leichhardt Oval, or the club’s traditional home, Henson Park in Marrickville, where the club plays NSW Cup home games.”

More stuff you were wrong about

this idea is hilarious

heck even better the games might be at leichardt oval instead of Henson park

you can count leichardt as a home ground lmao

You should know better than believing a news ltd story lol

heres what the Newtown club have actually stated:

“I think a lot of supporters would like to see the Jets in some form back in the NRL, but how and why and where? Way too early to tell,” Newtown CEO Stuart McCarthy said

“It’s in the very embryonic stages. Western Australia has a strong case for a future NRL licence.” McCarthy said,

We are very supportive of Western Australia’s case for admission. One can always dare to dream.”

yep,sounds done deal lol
