“We want to see exactly who we are dealing with over there and don't want to give up the Newtown brand which is so iconic.
"A return via Perth - with a few games back at Henson - would be a great result for our many fans."
who were the experts on here who said the jets didn’t want their colours and logo and two games at Henson park @Perth Red ?
any ideas @Pippen94
Not sure that’s the case anymore. Nrl vic squads are much stronger ovet last two years than previouslyDisagree, we get a team here we wipe the floor with Rugby Union, our juniors double and with the right pathway program we'll produce talent.
Our open mens, 12 & 15s all out perform Victoria already without a team. We lose 18s due the Storm pathway investment and WA losing kids to the east coast/rugby.
They arent demanding they own the license, thats the biggie.
Games at Henson, no way.
Perth Jets maybe, but the colours are crap and def not needed in the NRL.
I'll be surprised if this one goes anywhere given they actually have nothing to offer.

Rugby league in Victoria is heading for a record season with more players and more teams than ever before in 2023.The opening round of the new Storm Premiership for senior footballers was held at the weekend and more than 200 junior teams will kick off the Storm Junior League season on Saturday...www.nrlvic.com

If the NRL venture into a renowned AFL state like WA they should help them out as much as possible until they can get themselves stabilised.I hope we do and they do.but what if we don’t get a club? Should we just right off any chance of rugby league growing in WA Because we don’t have an nrl club to lead it? What about the other areas around australia that will never have an nrl club? Should we not worry about kids playing rugby league in those areas? That’s why jnr participation should not be the remit of nrl clubs.
Nope, forget developing other nations, let them look after their own backyards it’s not the NRL’s responsibility.Because of the blowouts
Dolphins show there are enough players around
nrl is an international competition needs to focus on the areas where league is strong.
png and nz2 will add more to the nrl than Perth
Agreed, useless to suggest anything they offer will be useful, the bears on the other hand, atleast share the same colors or similar to WA and useful in the junior pathwaysThey arent demanding they own the license, thats the biggie.

Focus on Australia, Warriors have had a whole nation behind them and have under achieved since their inception.
PNG is a pipe dream.
It is.The Newtown - Perth arrangement cant even be considered if they want games played at Henson. Luducrious.

Congrats for finally picking up on something I posted weeks ago. News travels slowly to the dum as in PerthStorm finally working closer with NRLVic to promote the game is paying off in uptake in participation.
Why ?, it is not the NRL’s job to develop other nations and certainly not Australia’s responsibility to do so.This is low quality trolling
Why North Sydney Oval can fit in bigger crowds than the Sharks home ground. It is.
But playing at North Sydney Oval, is just as laughable.
