Likely 2028 in line with new tv deal, unless deal get negotiated in 2025/6 incumbents win and tv want nine games in 2027. Problem is that leaves a new club very little time to be ready.
Ideally tv deal is done 2025 and new club comes in 2028.

Club 19 and 20 many years off imo. have to remember it was literally a suggestion by politis in a meeting earlier this year, it’s not been an nrl strategy they’ve been working on for years! Only caveat to that is depends on feds and wa govt funding opportunities. That could fast track club 19 if both are too good to turn down.
Melbourne 2nd team Melbourne Marlins
Central coast team BEAR'S 🐻
2nd Penrith team Penrith Wolves

So based on this Keebra Park wanted the Titans to ditch there association with Palm Beach Currumbin and Marsden SH, and be exclusive with them.

No wonder the Titans told them to f**k off.

I think this will hurt Keebra Park more than anything, and strengthen the other local schools.

It just proves all this Bollox about needing jnrs in your region only is just that, Bollox. Anyone can partner with anywhere to produce talent.
Yep, its almost irrelevant, there is nothing tying those juniors to Souths the Titans, or any other club.

Kalyn Ponga at one time was on a scholarship with the Broncos at Churchie in Brisbane, and has never even farted in the direction of a Broncos jersey.

If anything Souths will be possibly spending money on school kids that will benefit other NRL teams.

It hasn't happened yet (the producing of their local GC talent to benefit souths) so how can you already have a stance on this? anyone can partner with anyone? Hahahaha, yes very true, but in this example you've just shart out an opinion based on a hypothetical link that hasn't seen one keebra park juniors flourush in souths colors, yet you've deemed the system flawed by default immediately

Eh? I’m saying the exact opposite lol. Like raiders partnering with south perth. Clubs can partner anywhere these days and the notion of “local” when it comes to nrl is Bollox. Whats good for the goose and all that.

NRL clubs actually get rewarded $$$ for having a NRLW side there are no benefits to having your own NSW Cup side if you don’t need one.

Not really, You can double up with trainers. Have assistant coaches run NSW Cup teams.

You can't do that with NRLW

Yet they go to Souffs who will still use other schools

How many of those players will go from the school to NRL?

They will go from the school to

SG Ball
Jersey Flegg
NSW Cup

then NRL, Assuming none get 'homesick'

That is the point though. Team 18 needs those steps in between to atleast be a chance at developing talent long term

How do you stop Penrith winning competitions?

Warriors have copied our model, with a whole country to pick from. They are the next to blow the others off the park.

We won't stop doing our thing, Others are starting so it needs to be the norm not the exception

Time and the salary cap will do that. Like Storm with the qlnd and nz players getting half a dozen world class players coming through at same time doesn’t happen often and certainly doesn’t happen generation after generation. Let’s be honest a bit better 1:1 defence from broncos and it’d already be over.

I would expect any expansion team to have at least two of those three sides, if not all three, in nsw or qlnd comp. Be it alone or in partnership, or both.
