FFS.

QRL needs funding because it has lots of competitions to run over the entire state. It's not cheap running stateside competitions from juniors to seniors. Queensland is the least centralised state in Australia. It's not like WA where the majority of people live in Perth.

Are you demanding the ARLC buy up real estate across Perth and build clubs on the land?

That's a very expensive exercise and won't provide any commercial return.

The GPS system in Brisbane and Sydney doesn't include rugby league. What makes you think things will be different for Perth?

AwFuL is paying new schools in Brisbane to reserve ovals for fumbleball. Using your logic, we need to spend more money on schools in Queensland to ensure the next generation play rugby league.
haha thats literally been the reasoning for Brisaben2 and now 3, AFL is coming to get us!

I'm suggesting ARLC meets its mandate, returns the missing tens of millions of grassroots funding and gets serious in investing in all States and Territories to grow our great game.

Ive told you numerous times what grasssroots funding should be spent on to make the game more appealing, accessible and affordable.

I'm realistic.

The ARLC Chairmen said no money will be wasted on rusted on AFL states. That means no funding at the junior level will be squandered on WA. The fact you haven't gotten that through your skull is embarrassing.

Why do you keep advocating for something that has no chance of happening?
Even idiots change their minds lol Vlandys spoke of new supporter base in perth then totally backflipped after a conversation with our premier. Little chance? maybe. no chance? I never say never.

Why did you change pathways to promotional campaigns? Because you knew your argument was dumb?
How do you expect the game to attract new participants?

There's no point in building new clubs if no one knows they exist.

Fumbleball spends quite a bit on its promotional campaigns for AusKick.

I've shown you twice that it's cheaper for a Perth family to sign their kid up to play rugby league than it is to play fumbleball or soccer. It's cheaper to play RL in Perth than it is in Brisbane. Stop using cost as an excuse. The cost of living is lower in Perth than it is in Brisbane.

Cricket isn't as popular in England as it once was.

Therefore, Rugby League can never expand anywhere in Australia.

And you wouldn't have a promotion if there was nothing to promote.

You didn't want to say that the NRL and its club are opposed to pathways for juniors, because that'd be an incredibly dumb statement and you knew it.

Just add it to the donkey'isms lol

goes with
Union is more popular so RL can never succeed
AFL get lower fta audiences so NRL is pointless in perth
10k participants in a city of 1 mill can never be replicated in same city of 2.2mill because ......

But this is someone who wants to see the games biggest clubs abolished. We really shouldnt hold much weight in his opinions.

Perth nrl team can cherry pick union juniors

arlc spending money on Perth juniors is a Waste of time. Especially more so with no nrl team
L
LU logic:

Western Reds crowds are irrelevant because that was 30 years ago, but participation rates in Perth during the same period are more meaningful than the amount playing the game today!

And...

Getting 10k people in WA to play the game will solve all problems!
hahhahaa

You have a habit of making stupid assumptions that make zero sense.

Your mate from Perth is the one who has argued ad nauseum that the clubs have stripped funding from grassroots.

There’s only 5,400 juniors in Cronulla region, and that’s supposed to be second biggest rl nursery in Sydney!
Out of a population of as at 2022 : 231,273

That's a far higher % of the population involved in rl juniors than any NRL club. 2.33%

Perth would kill to get even .5% of their 2.14m people(10,700 juniors),so your puerile attempt stating there's only 5,400 juniors in Cronulla region looks silly drawing comparisons.

When it comes to actual people, percentage or per capita is a nothing. Actual numbers is what counts

who cares about %, we are talking jnr pools in NRl club regions. In Cronulla its 5,400 ish, in perth its around 3,500 at moment a Perth NRl club would have influence on. We arent as far off as some on here like to think. Im not being critical of jnr numbers in cronulla region, as said its one of the strongest in RL heartland, just pointing out that Perth isnt as far away in terms of jnr player pool numbers as the misinformed keep thinking.

We are talking actual players/people , on that basis 5,400 juniors the 2nd most in Sydney is more than pulling their weight. IOW RL is more ingrained in the Shire's populace. If that % was involved in other Sydney areas we'd be laughing. Some of their actual numbers are very small.
PR brought up the only 5,400 junior numbers , I responded accordingly.
