I don’t think there is any doubt the WA government wants a team there and will support it. I’m generally a fan of PVLs but I just wish we’d get this done. I don’t find the debate about a Perth club even slightly interesting. To me it’s a lay down misere.

I have said elsewhere we don't expand well generally in this country, I get why they have held off. All the next 3 have risks and you need to get everything lined up

I'm biased as I live in Perth. But FFS, everything is lined up perfectly for a club here. I don't get how PNG, pasifika, or the bears are getting a look in.
PNG is ridiculously risky at the moment.

In the last week PNG has fallen off my radar especially after today’s news. But I’ve always thought Perth should precede it anyway.

Its a mentality of rugby league. Only briefly breached in the 80's and early 90's. Most of the time we are super conservative, short sighted and pretty myopic. Great game on the field, sht administrators off it.

I’m generally in agreement with this. I don’t agree that’s the case anymore.

SCRAPE, the sound of donkey moving goalposts lol

That wasnt what you said, you said they havent spent anything on PRS, they have. you also said they dont spend on other sports, they have. Over $800mill spent on PRS and other sports would suggest you're talking bollox mate.
They've spent more than that on Perth Stadium. God knows how much they've spent on training facilities for the two AwFuL clubs.

Perth Demons Fumbleball Club are getting $10m from WA Gov for a 800 seat grandstand. Another $10m was provided by the Fed Gov. The Eagles train at the facility.

How much money did the WA Gov put aside for a rectangular stadium when the Western Reds joined the ARL in 1995?

How is saying they've spent more money on a stadium that has 3 tenants that play in the biggest sports in Australia (AFL and cricket) then they have on one with no NRL tenant, any kind of argument?

It's f**king idiotic

The public hates govts spending money on stadiums, but he thinks WA should have spent hundreds of millions building a new stadium just in case they get a team.

I think the point is, its a bit rich for say the Dolphins to claim they have 30,000 members, when they are selling 1 game memberships

Like they are with their Round 1 game against the Cowboys:

Agreed in full, but to insinuate (or straight up state) that only full season members should matter in reporting is to swing the pendulum too far the other way, and quite frankly, a little elitist and tone deaf.

Again you’re argument was they dont spend on other sports, not that they don’t spend more than afl. It’s actually pretty close all up anyway lol
admit it you’re talking Bollox.
