I'm not saying they don't.All clubs do this though
I'm saying when people say stuff like 'the Dolphins added 30k members" to RL in 2023, it needs a lot more context.

The fumblers started fudging their figures years ago. We followed suit under Smith. They are now meaningless. In fact they are so meaningless they are really only used by circle jerk fumbler fans to ‘prove’ how big their game is in QLD and NSW. Having more ‘members’ than television viewers has to tell you something.30k members are 30k members.
especially if everyone one else uses the same figures
That last sentence is goldThe fumblers started fudging their figures years ago. We followed suit under Smith. They are now meaningless. Whatever floats your boat.30k members are 30k members.

Whatever floats your boat.
In an expansion thread though, if 10k Cowboys fans sign up for a 1 game membership, then we aren't really getting a true picture of the demand for more clubs.
I bet you believe your sport/cult membership numbersmembership numbers are a sham, they mean nothing. Half the clubs have given up even reporting them.
They are aiming at over 1 million members. And over 1 million juniorsThe fumblers started fudging their figures years ago. We followed suit under Smith. They are now meaningless. The more lies the better. The fumblers are renowned for fudging. Nobody takes them seriously any more. They are aiming at over 1 million members. And over 1 million juniors
lol only you can think that the Govt saying they wont run a team equals govt not providing any financial support. They've already stumped up $1/2mill to put the bid together. After Cook rang vlandys he did a 180 on perths prospects, you dont think they offered something in that conversation?
eh? It spent $25mill buying the lease from the council, then spent $100mill building two new stands, a new pitch and two new big screens, and last year spent a further $35mill upgrading lighting, change rooms etc. $160mill spent on PRS in last 10 years. The WA Gov has spent sweet f**k all on PRS over the last 25 years. It doesn't care about sports that aren't fumbleball.
How much did the WA Gov spend on Perth Stadium?eh? It spent $25mill buying the lease from the council, then spent $100mill building two new stands, a new pitch and two new big screens, and last year spent a further $35mill upgrading lighting, change rooms etc. $160mill spent on PRS in last 10 years.
Its also spent $30mill on a soccer centre, $17mill on a rugby union centre, $40mill on a basketball centre, $36mill on an athletics centre, $9.5mill on grassroots soccer facilities, $135mil to keep national hockey centre in perth, not to mention $400mill on an indoor arena where basketball and tennis play.
But yeh not interested in anything other than AFL lol
SCRAPE, the sound of donkey moving goalposts lolHow much did the WA Gov spend on Perth Stadium?
$820.7m.
PRS has received a miserly $160m to give a repugnant turd some sheen. It's still a turd.
They're supporting the Glory to the tune of 20mill over the next 5 years. Imagine what they would give to an NRL club?SCRAPE, the sound of donkey moving goalposts lol
That wasnt what you said, you said they havent spent anything on PRS, they have. you also said they dont spend on other sports, they have. Over $800mill spent on PRS and other sports would suggest you're talking bollox mate.
I don’t think there is any doubt the WA government wants a team there and will support it. I’m generally a fan of PVLs but I just wish we’d get this done. I don’t find the debate about a Perth club even slightly interesting. To me it’s a lay down misere. They're supporting the Glory to the tune of 20mill over the next 5 years. Imagine what they would give to an NRL club?
