How did the storm discover all those players the broncos missed

someone like billy slater could easily get missed

There are plenty of rugby league players from Brisbane that have never played for the Broncos.
Yes that is my point. You don’t need more teams to discover the talent. If the Brisbane teams miss them, surely other clubs will be watching.

Don’t need non qld teams finding qld talent

another Brisbane side means spots for 30 more pro players

plus the club will increase junior spending

Far too late to stop that now, likewise clubs signing juniors from NZ instead of the Warriors getting them all. Any new side is going to offer 30 more NRL contracts.

That would apply to any new club coming in

the real issue, in terms of player depth, is not which club comes in but how many kids are playing the game and whats the quality of coaching they are getting moving through the age groups. Then what is the quality/amount of scouting and elite training programmers available to the best of the best.

New Brisbane club would also spend more money on growing the junior base

geographically western coridoor has no team plus growing population. Where are those juniors going

Not in Brisbane

an area with a massively growing population and rugby league heartland

fish where the fish are
Theres already 4 clubs spending on jnrs in SEQ, would another make much difference? Besides its quite possible that a new club will partner with a SEQ QRL club so ticks that box any way as well as where that club is based.
Two for one!

Juniors from Ipswich already have opportunities to make NRL same as anywhere else in SEQ. Also lots of Broncos fans out that way, having “no team” is like saying Blue Mountains, Queanbeyan or Maitland have no team.

Not saying Ipswich/Western Corridor won’t or shouldn’t get a team one day but it’s not like people are walking around Ipswich saying “gee I wish we had a team to support so we could watch the NRL and maybe little Johnny could make the NRL one day”.

Ipswich has a pathway partnership with Gold Coast
Wynnum Manly with Broncos
Easts with Melbourne
Souths Logan with Broncos

its not like there isnt direct elite pathways in place for the S/SW Brisbane region!
