Two WA players out there for the Broncos 2nite, Josh Rogers No #6 North Beach Sea Eagles junior, South Perth Lions grade player and Jordan Pereira No #5 Willagee Bears juniors, also played NRL with St George-Illawarra Dragons.
Not to mention the two Victorians playing for the Storm, one of them scoring a blinder of a try. Was just saying to the wife how good to see Victorians and West Australians playing in the NRL. May there be many more to come.

From what I've been told with 2 degrees of seperation ... the networks want Perth, hopefully that outweights any federal government push for PNG.
Networks dont get a vote, nor do they hold any sway with who the next cub will be based, only reason redcliffe had some sway was it was furthest from the news ltd owned broncos out of the bids running...
If networks really had a say as you and most folk think, why would they let them have another SEQ team even at all? It would have easily been Perth and Adelaide already, way before titans and dolphins

Whos cause? The bidder is at the mercy of the ARLC
The ARLC are at the mercy of the voters(17clubs+ NswRL,QRL)
The broadcasters can change like politicians in office, they aren't part of the picture

hahaha are you kidding me .... The Dolphins got in on 9 wanting different options for Friday night football other than the Bronco's every week in QLD. Why do you think the Storm were created in the first place? Foxtel didn't have AFL at the time and had no penetration into Victoria.

If a networks preference has an influence on dollars, it will be one of the major driving factors.

I think I'll go off what networks have actually said to those involved in the bid process over your opinion ....
There are multiple quotes from Fox and nine saying they want more brisbane teams

there has been zero comment saying they want Perth

sorry

Really? Fox and 9 have held the rights since the 90s. You think they don't hold some sway?
