He played in ODI series against us last year in England but I didn't remember him doing too much so I did a quick look up on Cricinfo.

Who are you dropping out of the middle order? The one good area in our ODI side. We don't need both Clarke and Smith in the ODI side. They both fill the same role.

Watson is a gun ODI cricketer, unless you plan on dropping Warner I don't see a place for Smith. All those players are good in the field!
