Fair bit of quality missing from that WC Final side, namely the worlds best ODI bowler, but 'efforts' like today are unacceptable. This batting line-up has certainly busted some mediocrity records the past 3-4 years, across all 3 formats.

I know Boult does not look his best, but he did play today

Although if Matt Henry keeps this up, he will continue to climb in the rankings. (And still not be a first choice bowler).

Bit harsh on Richardson and Tye.

Boland is dead set ordinary. What is going on there? Bird, Bollinger, and others have to watch him playing for Australia?

That is as painful as Henriques and Watson watching MMarsh play ODi cricket.

Stop playing on roads and they might bat a bit better consistently. Smiths back lift comes down like an ax mans chop. A millimetre of inwards seam and he has nowhere to go. Some of the dismissals struck me as arrogant and showed fundamental flaw in technique. They'll be much better for game two.
