Henriques has to stay in the team after his batting display, besides Clarke he is the only batsman who seems to have a clue against the spinners. I bet the Big Show for Starc will be the only change.

Well I said we'd get our pants pulled down and given a flog that'd make a 1950's headmaster proud. That's what happened.

* Lyon is a confidence bowler and at the moment he doesn't have much.
* Cowan can't make big scores for the life of it
* Hughes really struggles on turners and spin.
* Henriques is economical as a bowler and shows ticker as a batsmen.

So what are the changes, if any for the 2nd test?

Dunno our bowlers are short of a gallop at first class level.

Siddle and Patto have played only one first class game since Jan 3.

Johnson and Starc been playing one dayers.

Lyon hadn't played much. Doherty found 'form' in the one day game.

Is Bird over there?

Henriques has really impressed me in his technique against spin. Plays with softer hands and can read the length of the ball quickly enough to go back safely even if it's fairly full.

Not holdin my hopes up, but we have an extremely slight chance if this last wicket pair can get a lead of at least 100. After all, India did defend 107 on a rank turner in Mumbai in 2004. However this pitch is going to be an absolute bitch tomorrow, which will make it even more difficult to get there in the first place. It is possible to get a 100+ partnership for the 10th wicket like we did in the 2005 Boxing Day test with Hussey and McGrath. Henriques is going to have to take the bulk of the strike though.
