Clarke gone. Trail by 61. Goodnight.

Don't feel too bad, you had liabilities like Lyon and Wade in the team and still managed to bowl India out, a couple of wickets here and there and it could have been much closer.

Lyon got tonked badly here. When you see the pitch, he was far too inconsistent, was easily hit off his length by Dhoni, when if he kept going for the footmarks as he did when he got Tendulkar, if he was a great spinner he could have run through them. But as much as he's indifferent, I seriously think Ed Cowan is drastically overrated. Surely Australia has better potential test bats than this bloke.

I don't think anyone rates Cowan tbh..

Its not over yet.. You can tell from the steely look in Moises the Mighty's eyes that he's there for the long haul.

I'd rather have Siddle open. At least he'd passionately show off the zitty stars of Australia to blunt the new ball.

Alright. Changes required obviously. But who? Lets not beat around the mulberry bush, we don't have a spinner in any shape or form in the touring squad. The Indians are going to prepare pitches that are conductive to spin and batsmen who can play on them. Clarke is the only batsman capable of playing a long innings against spin. I've got no idea of who to bring in. If you bring in Khawaja for Henriques to stiffen the batting you lose a bowler and we are struggling big time to get 20 wickets.

Our spinning options are laughable. Lyon, X, Big Show and Smiff.

We are rooted.

I don't rate Khawaja much, but I'd back him over Eddie Scissorhands at the top of the order. Khawaja to open, Cowan back to Hillbillymania.

Henriques is better than Wade. Henriques should be at 6.

Khawaja in for Cowan. Watson to opener, Khawaja to 5, Clarke to 4.

Haddin in for Wade.

Doherty in for Starc.

Looks like Cowan will be top scorer this innings.

How is Hughes against spin? Didn't do much this game.

My XI

1. Watson
2. Warner
3. Hughes
4. Khawaja
5. Clarke
6. Henriques (given his display this match)
7. Haddin (Not going to happen..)
8. Pattinson
9. Starc
10. Lyon
11. Doherty

Can't believe how unbelievably shit that looks, but there really isn't much better...

Haddin?

You do remember that this is the guy who got out numerous times 'playing his natural game' when we needed the f**ker to buckle down and bat for a few hours rather than try and hit the opposition fast bowlers into the next postcode.

You do remember that this is the guy that would drop at least one sitter a match and let in 60000 byes a series?

Wade is pretty shitful but Haddin wasn't much better. They're not going to SOS Haddin.

LOL, your useless piece of sh*t mate Hughes should be dropped well before Cowan.

Haddin > Wade as a keeper (even at Haddin's worst). I think that's been made obvious so far during the Australian Summer and this test

Haddin is also a much better player of spin than Wade. He's also been in great form at home. Haddin for mine...but no they aren't going to SOS him.

Haddin is > Wade, but that's like saying Stephen Hawkings is less a spastic than Steady Eddie.
