Nervey looking 20 minutes for NZ but theyve survived and put on 25. If they can just get something reasonable they are in this. 250 would be a decent score. Plenty of sides have scored around that and won here the last 5 years. The old saying "We havent batted yet" is still true.

Because players get found out when they take alot of wickets from shit balls. We've gone through a three year period of Johnson in the team based on alot of wickets from crap, we've been stuck with his impotence the last 15 tests as players have stopped playing at his rubbish. The whole team has sufferred from results far ebtter than performances and it has hit us hard the last year-18 months or so. People could see last summers disaster coming a mile off after our less than convincing series against the Windies, Paki's x2 and India, but because results were reasonable Cricket Australia adopted an everything is ok attitude.

We dont want to see that happen again, which is why people want bowlers bowling with control, taking wickets off the good balls etc.

Lyon and Siddle have both bowled quite well today

not sure why are guys have been quite this ill-disciplined, really disappointing... but you're bang on, good batting and we'd only be two down... on flat wicket you won't get this charity from Gambhir, Dravid and Tendulkar

NZ batting is deplorable. It looks like it’s another case of Dan Vettori to the rescue. He will probably rack up 80 and get 5 for.

God knows they need it, I can’t see any of their other bowlers getting many wickets.

We were in a good position too until that third innings. Couldn't get Cook out and made him look like Bradman. It was the ultimate series of shit bowling getting found out against good batsman.

Vettori isn't going anywhere near the wide shit and anything on the pads he's nudging comfortably for runs so he's obviously the only Kiwi who understands what test cricket is.

Lyon might be a different prospect for Vettori though see if he can tempt a poor shot out of him.

If McCullem, Taylor, Ryder could bat with the attitude Brownlie and Vettori are currently showing you'd be in good stead. Still think it's the most talented Kiwi top 5 in a long long time but really needs an attitude check (Williamson aside).
