Starc and Pattinson's wickets were not great deliveries.

People rightly criticise Johnson for picking up wickets with rubbish balls...I don't think those were any different.

Pattinson at least built pressure in that over. Edge, one which nipped back in, good ball then the slightly wider one drew the loose shot, reasonable bowling

NZ are 94/4 but still people in this forum are bagging the shit out of the Australian team. Geez there are some dickheads in here.

Because players get found out when they take alot of wickets from shit balls. We've gone through a three year period of Johnson in the team based on alot of wickets from crap, we've been stuck with his impotence the last 15 tests as players have stopped playing at his rubbish. The whole team has sufferred from results far ebtter than performances and it has hit us hard the last year-18 months or so. People could see last summers disaster coming a mile off after our less than convincing series against the Windies, Paki's x2 and India, but because results were reasonable Cricket Australia adopted an everything is ok attitude.

We dont want to see that happen again, which is why people want bowlers bowling with control, taking wickets off the good balls etc.

Lyon and Siddle have both bowled quite well today

Nervey looking 20 minutes for NZ but theyve survived and put on 25. If they can just get something reasonable they are in this. 250 would be a decent score. Plenty of sides have scored around that and won here the last 5 years. The old saying "We havent batted yet" is still true.
