I am pretty confident that Cutting will be 12th man which will be disappointing but exciting for Starc and Pattinson. It will be good to see some young quicks getting a crack.

Doubt it. If it comes down to Starc or Cutting then I think the local knowledge will win out. I'll be very surprised if Cutting misses out.

If they decide of Starc for variety and it is down to Cutting and Pattinson I feel they will go to Pattinson but I'm pretty sure Pattinson is guaranteed.

Starc is being talked up because he's left arm and Pattinson seems to be next in the pecking order

and Siddle is still shit but looks like he will play

I would get rid of Hughes before Warner. The keyword re: Warner is a good ‘start’ to his career. He doesn’t have the temperament or skill for test cricket and he will get shown up eventually.

Warner has now played 11 first class games with an average of 60 and a highest score of something like 211. He was Australia's best batsmen in Australia A's tour of Zimbabwe. You believe he hasn't the temperament or skill for test cricket. Well, that is your opinion based off the fact you probably have seen very little of Warner's first class career ... but I will take Sehwag's and Greg Chappel's opinion over yours every day of the year.

I am not sure what tests you have been watching but Hughes has not hit a century in either of his last 2 tests.

I am sorry. In two of his last THREE tests. Yeah lets dump a guy who has scored a century and 88 in two of his last three tests. You sound like the ignorant fool who forms an opinion based off some ridiculous source (media or a Hughes hater) and then won't back off that opinion even when the fact tell you something totally different.

Anybody can do what Hughes does, he flashes wildly outside off stump and more often than not it is his undoing. Your comparison of Hughes to Watson is ridiculous; Watson adds value with the ball and should bat in the middle order anyways.

NO it is not ridiculous. You inferred that the disaster of Hughes and Warner opening would be recitified by Watson returning

Unfortunately I think we can rely on the NZ attack to make them look at least half decent in one innings before Watson gets back

When in fact Watson has only averaged 24 so far this year and should move down the order.

I'll be honest, I am not a big fan of Hughes BUT this irrational hatred of this young guy when all he has done is score a century and an 88 in his last three tests is making me hope he lights it up against NZ and prove all you irrational idiots wrong.

NZ don't win test matches.

What about that thrashing we gave those Zimbos??

Seriously, Without Southee our bowling line up would be complete pants. We need someone to step up and take a bunch of wickets if we are going to have a chance. I can Southee being the man there, if he can get his swing going he'll be hard to handle.

I'm really looking forward to it, I hope we can rise to the occasion and put together a couple of strong performances. Wrighty is a good man to mentor these fellas, a tough bastard who has won over the Tasman before.
