Unfortunatly Watson would be the captain, so he'll probaly bat where ever he wants.

If Clarkes out I want Hussey as captain
I was thinking just that when the commies were crapping on about Watson being vice captain

Clarke won't be back this innings, but he could take a leaf out of Kallis's book and turn up for the next test despite injury

 He was pretty ordinary in Sri Lanka last year, wasn't he..

5 hundreds, 14 fifties and an average of 42 away. It's not spectacular, but it certainly makes a meal of your claim he "doesn't perform" outside Oz..
Fair enough. He has a respectable record away from home. He's a good player of spin. But away from the sub-continent he's appalling.

In 22 Tests across the West Indies, NZ, South Africa and England he's scored 1240 runs from 41 innings @ 31.8 with just the one century.

And he's not getting any younger so i dont think he'll perform very well in England personally.

As for Lyon, he is AVERAGE. RSA were 4 down in Adelaide and he didn't even threaten to bowl them out in four sessions. He'll get murderede in India.

Oh please. The majority of your top 6 are plodders.

With Pattinson and Cummins to come into the team we won't need to score as many runs as you think.

As for our top order. Warner, Cowan and Hughes are all in form.

I agree the big question mark is Watson but the rest of our top 6 are all .
LOL Who says Pattinson and Cummins will be fit?

Our top 6 are far from plodders. They've grinded away in India but it will be completely different in England. Cook, Trott, Bell, Prior and of course Pietersen will score at a more than handy rate.

As for Warner, Cowan and Hughes all being in form. You're a comedian! Two of them average mid-30s in Test cricket and Warner is super streaky. Ed Cowan in form, FMD.

Pieterson scares the shit out of me, most dangerous (even if not most consistent) of Englands batting lineup, really like the way he plays cricket (despite being a trackhead).

But yeah, bell's averaged under 30 in test cricket this year, 14 tests as well, he's not exactly intimidating at present.

Herath gets a Michelle Pfeiffer

He already has more wickets than Muttiah Muralitharan in his entire career in Australia, after 1 test! and he got all 5 of those wickets in one inning

Hughes has got 100+ runs in his 1st test back. Warner and Cowan have both scored 50s in this test and both have 100s this summer. And those 100s came against the best attack in the world.

Cook is great and Pietersen isn't a plodder but those others have pictures of themselves next to the word "plodder" in the dictionary.

Ian Bell has a S/R of 51 in test cricket. Joe Root strikes at 51 in First Class cricket. Trott has a S/R of 47. Nick Compton 47 in first class cricket.

None of them are plodders. You have NFI what you're talking about.

I mean trying to argue that Ed Cowan is in form. And how Phil Hughes 100 runs in this Test proves he's in form. Just STFU. No wonder you make people angry.
