Certainly some mental baggage/demons when it comes to test matches for the Kiwis when they play us.

Maybe they pump it up too much for themselves and they get paralysed with the fear of failure. I assume we are the big ticket in town when it comes to tests. Which is why i find it strange its only a 2 test series these days.

Seems bizarre as they play heaps better at home against India & England.

Yet when we go over there its a just a pretty cruisy stroll it seems for us no matter who we pick.

The Kiwi team was not at full strength and the selectiors didn't help, the Kouger over Wagner was mind boggling and no real spinner although Phillips bowled OK, Jamieson would have made a big difference on this pitch.

From and Aussie point of view I'll remember this test for that pathetic decision not to enforce the follow on, bunch of softcocks, and that pathetic batting effort in the second innings, Smudger and Labs need to pick their game up in the second test.
