My kiwi cousins still mourning about the RL world cup thrashing to Australia?

Don't fear Bros ,should chalk up a win or two vs the hapless WI

1st of 3 tests starts tomorrow (Wed 3/11) 8.30am EST

Rutherford looks nice and straight, Fulton looks like he can only play off his legs, looks pretty shaky on off stump.

0-45 after an hour but only 12 overs, pissweak over rate

Blazing innings from Rutherford comes to a silly end. Not the first time he's got out 5 minutes before lunch either.

NZ 100/1 at lunch.

He threw it away, looks a good young player but his shot selection is not the best.

The wicket has a bit in it but the Windies bowled poo, Sammy as first change seamer lol.

He seemed like he just lost patience, there was nothing wrong with his run rate, it was actually pretty good.

He looked the goods for mine.

This Gabriel fellow is special

Going to be a tight contest. I think this series will determine who is the better test nation of the bottom tier between NZ, WI, Ban, and Zim.

What's happened to Vettori? Hasn't played a test match for over a year but still playing ODI's. Has he retired, been dropped or injured

He didn't feel he was quite ready to return from his injury, he's not far away though.

NZ 288/3, McCullum (60*) and Taylor (75*) looking comfortable against some pretty average bowling it must be said.

They have to take the new ball surely.

I have historically been a supporter of Sammy, but geez surely his days are numbered.

And why in the name of all that is holy do you pick only three seamers, two of whom are only slightly above medium pace, in Dunedin of all places and then put your opponent in? What is the point of Deonarine here? Why isn't Cotterell playing? And why in the hell do they have three spinners in their squad and only 4 quicks? It's NEW ZEALAND for gods sake.

Roach is a big loss for them, Rampaul is steady and better than anything in this tests line up

Narine should definitely be playing, historically we can't play him. Even two spinners would be better than this Gabriel who is a deadest plodder.

McCullum and then Taylor bring up their 100's meanwhile.
