Titans sign four year deal with adidas from 2010
The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have defied current global sponsorship trends by announcing a four-year multi-million dollar sponsorship with international sports brand adidas.
In a major coup for the Jetstar Titans, leading global sports brand adidas has come to a four-year agreement with the club commencing in 2010.
The exclusive arrangement as the clubs official on-field and training apparel supplier will make the Jetstar Titans one of the few teams within international sport to carry the famous three stripes.
This new sponsorship agreement is an exciting fit for both brands and acts as further recognition of the clubs growth since our first season in 2007, said Jetstar Titans managing director Michael Searle.
adidas is a global leader in the sports performance apparel market and importantly this partnership aligns the Titans with some of the strongest brands in international sport such as the Australian Cricket Team, the Australian Olympic Team and English Football giants Liverpool and Chelsea.
Being able to link with such a strong brand in the world market is massive recognition of the clubs position in the national sporting landscape and highlights the significant growth of the Titans brand value in the marketplace.
adidas managing director Greg Kerr described the Jetstar Titans as an innovative club and explained the new sponsorship was a strategic decision for the future.
The current economic environment is challenging, and leading brands must create opportunities through bold strategic investment decisions, said Mr Kerr.
The opportunity to partner with a young, innovative and ambitious club like the Titans is a strategic decision for the future, and the partnership is perfectly aligned with adidas brand strategy.
Through our partnership with the Titans we will establish a strong footprint in Queensland, and we look forward to the journey and alignment with such a professional outfit that the Titans have established.
Official Titans apparel designed by adidas will not be unveiled until the clubs existing contract expires at the end of the 2009 season.
