Love that Steelers one

Would have loved to have seen them in the NSW cup also instead of the Shellharbour Dragons

The alternate strip will never be the old Steelers strip. If you remember back at the beginning of the merger, St George vs Canberra would mean the Dragons would wear a "heritage" strip from the old KaiserStuhl sponsorship days. It ended up being the least popular strip in terms of retail purchases, which decide whether a strip continues to be sold or not. The same can be said of the old Illawarra Steelers "Retro" jersey sold by Classic Sportswear. These days the Dragons still wear the alternate strip against Canberra in Wollongong, as do the Illawarra Steelers in SG Ball and HM Cup.

I started supporting St. George some 34 years ago, St. George will always come 1st with me, but f**k me dead, how pathetic can we be by not using the strip shown as an alternative. This is an accurate representation to the old steelers jersey, anything less is an insult. Yes even to an old dragon like me.

Um, their home jersey will remain lime. It changed this year from light green to full-on lime and will remain so for at least 3 years.

The Raiders will have one of the following as their 2010 away strip:

Farkin' hideous. Have always loved the white away strip that the Raiders have worn....

The one on the right hand side is better. The butchers apron strip is hardly ever worn. Keep the tradition by using the "old school" bulldog and the newer, or more identifiable, double-v jersey design.

New sleeve sponsor for Penrith:

ABCOE Distributors have signed a three year sponsorship with the Panthers to become their Sleeve Sponsor for the remainder of 2009, moving on to become their official Membership Sponsor for 2010 and 2011.

ABCOE are an Australian owned and operated one stop shop based in Penrith who specialise in supplying a wide range of frozen food, cleaning products and party supplies to businesses and households alike.

Panthers CEO Michael Leary said, “We are very proud ABCOE have chosen to partner us for the next three years. In today’s tough economic conditions, this sponsorship is a sign of the belief and confidence the market place has in the Panthers brand.

Like us, ABCOE are committed to success and are competitive in all aspects of their business. We look forward to partnering them to further growth and success for many years to come”.

ABCOE Managing Director David O’Neill asserted, “The synergies and similarities between our two businesses are extraordinary. Panthers have a young, ambitious team with a big future in front of them….and the same can be said for ABCOE.

Just as important though, is the commitment both our organisations have to serving the western Sydney community the best possible product and results. It is for this reason a partnership with Panthers was the obvious choice for growing the profile and trade of our business”.

The sponsorship will be officially launched at the Panthers vs Titans match at CUA Stadium on Monday night April 27th .

“To celebrate the new partnership with us ABCOE will be giving away a free ticket to Monday night’s game to anyone who spends $40 or more in one of their outlets” said Panthers Marketing Manager Shannon Donato.

“In addition to this they will soon be launching a promotion where all Panthers Members receive 10% discount on all purchases. As a company, ABCOE pride themselves on being the affordable option for families” Donato concluded.

I agree - the double-v shouts RL, whereas the butchers apron (though tradional) is akin to RU - and in the proposed badges the double-v makes it work more dynamically to the eye.

I don't understand why both of those shirts aren't their fulltime kits... both look heaps better than their current ones IMO.
