Oh that sucks. They need some air play. Hopefully during the All Stars they will run a few membership ads.

I hope the Dogs make a late charge and it becomes a three horse race. The more the better.

Probably been mentioned already, and this isn't a flame post, BUT

The don't the Dragons only have 6 game ticket memeberships available? One lot for Kograh and one lot for the Gong?

If so then anyone buying both sets would be included as 2 members?

Or do they have a 12 match one? Also some clubs might sell 10,000 3,4 or 5 game "memberships" and have them included in their count while another club may only sell 6,000 but all of them be full and proper 12 game passes.

The counters are good, and attmepting to cause a rivalry between clubs so fans take up the challange is great, but it would be very interesting to see how the tickets break down.

No point cheering if in real terms income is way down.

Update from P69 of today's Telegraph:

Rabbitohs 8,871
Dragons 8,801
Bulldogs 7,071
Eels 5,950
Knights 5,012
Tigers 3,526
Raiders 2,990
Sharks 2,454
Roosters 2,447
Panthers 2,414
Sea Eagles 2,279

The Sharks have sold 1500 ticketed memberships more than their entire 2009 tally of 2078 - the lowest in NSW.
Two weeks ago the club surpassed its 2009 tally and yesterday passed the 3500 mark - an incredible surge in the lead-up to their first trial against Manly on Friday night.

Typical, they are inconsistent with their own article.
My understanding is Sharks have sold 3500 memberships, including 2454 ticketed memberships.

So between 11 NSW/ACT sides we've got 51,815 season ticket holders so far... Not bad, let's hope we can get another 30,000...

Some of those clubs with under 4,000 STH need to pick up there game...

The intriguing thing is... of the top 4, only one has won a grand final in the last 20 years. And of the bottom 4, only one has failed to win a grand final in the last 10 years. Obviously any of that top 4 would trade their spot for a premiership, but I think it puts an interesting spin on the mindset of a supporter base. But I guess foreplay is always more exciting than the post-coital state

if the figures are right, the sydney teams alone have already broken through last years season ticket sales
2009- 42,200
2010- 43,942

with plenty of time to go they will surely approach 55-60K season tickets

good effort by all so far

The NRL Ticketed club membership race to 10,000 (for NSW clubs) is really hotting up!

The Dragons have closed the gap on South’s, and trail the current leaders by a mere 70 members. With both clubs closing in on 9,000 members, both clubs are urging all fans to sign up now to help them get over the line first.

Elsewhere, the Storm memberships are now on sale, with the current Premiers selling an astonishing 1416 memberships in their first week. The Knights have joined a number of other clubs such as the Bulldogs, Eels and Sharks in surpassing their 2009 ticketed member number, and the Panthers and Broncos not far off reaching this milestone as well.

After signing to play on with the Tigers this week, Lote Tuqiri has urged all tigers fans to ‘Step Up’ also and join as members in what is sure to be an exciting year for the club.

Please note: Figures are accurate as of 7/02/2010. Figures only include Ticketed Membership numbers for the clubs which will be less than the total membership number for each club.

I see the Titans board have realised the stoooooopid 2009 structure of a family membership 1 adult + 1 kid. This year they ave just added another family membership package 2 adults + 2 kids and doubled the price. It was a very, very bad PR excercise last year. Not to mention they add were overpriced. A new, one town club in a catchment of over 500,000 people. Currently only having just over 4k is rather sad. I say that as well considering there are people in brissy and down to Grafton who I know were members in 2009.

Get it together titans.
