Away/alternate jerseys can be changed from year to year. The Dragons only changed to their "wolverine" jersey in 2010 yet have opted for the Steelers style one for 2011.
He's actually right, the rule is two years. I think the Dragons applied for special dispensation due to the outcry among fans relating to Wolverine.

Steelers jersey for alternate is about 10 years overdue IMO. Why the f**k cant they just get it right and have white shorts and red socks with it though?

And bring back the f**king candy cane socks with the Red V.

Still. The Red V & the Scarlett and White are great and accurate representations of St George Illawarras long heritage.

What would Wests and Balmain fans give to see the Twin black V on orange and twin White V on black as their two jersys for respective gorunds? Thats right, the poor bastards who support them have 4 home venues, thus requiring 4 jerseys. And whats the go with the 2011 white alternate. It looks like a pair of of 80's undies.

OMG...

Look what I found on interwebs.

I remember when that jersey made its debut against Penrith in 2002, then they played 3 more games with it.

Couldnt work it out myself, and Im pretty sure they did the same in 1998 against Manly.

Like with the EPL or UK SL with alternite teams jumpers completely different colours.

Isn't the NRL policy that home jerseys are on a 3year cycle with aways on a 2year cycle?

what about the tigers they changed their jersey from that basic template at the beginning of 03 to that claw thing they wore in 03-04 and then in 05 they chanegd it to their premiership winning one

I think that was special consideration from the NRL that allowed that (Timmah will be able to confirm that).

Well if the Dragons can do it there is no reason why the Broncos cant do the same if the fans kicked up a big enough stink.

2 years is stupid. Being stuck with a crap design for 2 seasons will only harm merch sales

But selling a different jersey every season will alienate fans and make it look like a money grab. There is a fine line between a club keeping a design long-term at risk of low merch sales and changing every year making it not worth the $160 for the fans who's jersey will be outdated in 12months....

I think the NRL are pretty much on the money. If the clubs want to make sh*t jerseys hopefully people vote with their wallets and they clubs will learn - simple, clean and club appropriate. You make your bed, sleep in it.

I think quite a few Broncos fans like the away jersey though it's pretty common to see people wearing them.

The Livestrong jersey should be the Broncos away jersey (with maroon in place of black)

I agree with whoever said the Broncos maroon has changed. It needs to be the maroon colour that is in the logo, it's a bit lighter, and better IMO. This jersey looks a bit too purple.

I saw the 2009 replica shorts at Amart the other day. It looks like an eggplant.

agreed. its a shame they didnt sell those livestrong jersey's (apart from them being auctioned)

I like the cyril connell tribute one too which i got, and would be happy with that as the alternate. the white alternate is just lazy

Found this on the knights website full detail shot of new jersey. It's not my most favourite jersey the knights have had, but i can live with it.

Apparently the Rabbitohs are now sponsored by Star City

I find this sponorship interesting as Rusty did not want pokies at souths leagues but is happy to take money from a business whos main source of income is from poker machines.

I'm sure there is a word that starts with an H that might describe Souffs.

I get what you mean, but removing pokies from an area where gambling is a problem for a lot of people struggling financially and from an area where you are trying to create a family vibe and being sponsored by a company that specializes in high-end gambling and "party" nights out for those who can afford it, is fairly different.

This. It's like being against a brothel that's across the street from a school but having no problem with a brothel in a red light district. There's a time and place for everything, a leagues club is not a place for pokies, a casino is.
