Outstanding

I looked at the membership packages for the Dragons... all thousand of them haha.

Is the 4game memberships etc. all counted towards the ticketed? (i would assume 4game ones would be the majority of members, with the difference in location between the stadia)

Whether all those kinds of memberships are counted towards ticketed or not is irrelevant, that 12437 number is total (not that there's anything wrong with that, still a great number).

No. That's all ticketed.
Amazing what getting that monkey off the back can do.
No it's not ticketed. Go back a few pages where someone posted the stats from the NRL and we confirmed that's total members.

But still, even for total memberships that's a very good number.

Great work.

Would be great for one of the NRL teams to break the 20,000 barrier this year. Think it might be a little unrealistic but you have to set the bar high.

The translation to crowds is starting to take effect as well with most Sydney clubs experiencing an increase in crowds from 09-10.

Am I the only one who doesn't think it's total memberships only? or some clubs are ticketed and some are total?

That article does not specify.
It stated '"memberships".

How does everyone know that certain clubs are not giving the NRL stats about ticketed numbers solely? The article certainly doesn't say that.

Happy to be proven wrong, but I don't think that article clearly suggests it is solely total memberships, and not ticketed for some clubs.

It has "Total club memberships" in huge writing

Yes I realise that.
And wouldn't the NRL be getting that information from the individual clubs?
How do we know for certain some clubs haven't just provided the NRL with ticketed numbers solely?

Brisbane as an example, have 10K members.
Yet their crowds are always above 25K, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that 10K number is purely season ticket holders and they have plenty more "non-ticketed mebers".

Because the NRL would have asked them for total memberships when conducting there list,i doubt clubs would give ticketed information only when asked for total.

I get what you mean but why would a club give the ticketed number if it's asked for total when it only makes itself look worse.

And also, regarding the Dragons memberships specifically, the counter says "Red V memberships", the "Red V" program offers non ticketed memberships as well. That's why I'm fairly sure the Dragons number, and the number for all the clubs on that NRL.com thing is total memberships.

Not disputing that at all, and agree with what you say.
I just haven't seen anything officially confirming that it is all season ticket holders + non season ticket holders.

Yakstorm (one of the posters on this forum) might know, as he seems to get some inside knowledge or be closely related to the NRL somehow.

thommo, the number that appeared on NRL.com stating total memberships at the time was the same number on www.dragons.com.au.

There is no doubt.
