Catalans Jersey for the Challenge Cup (with a bit of tweaking, would not look too bad for the Aborigines team tonight, or PNG):

Nevermind PNG (that expansion ain't going to happen for ages, if ever).

I'm thinking something like this would look good for the Perth Reds - either as a home, away or heritage strip.

The navy, red & yellow (is that buttercup or amber?) look damn fine together.

They're the naming rights sponsor - iSelect are front of jersey sponsor (of the "Jetstar Gold Coast Titans").

My understanding is the bloke who owns iSelect has something to do with Jetstar.

Radelaide Crows say hi.

Or Waikato Rugby (Red yellow & black have been their colours for decades)

But red, yellow & black or navy are a nice looking combination - the original Reds jersey used those colours...

What's more, it would be unique to the NRL.

A team that wears a significant amount of red & yellow would add something to the NRL palette.

OAK are sponsoring the Knights (and Jets) too

OAK join Knights and Jets
6/02/2012 3:00:15 PM
The Hunter Sports Group are pleased to announce OAK Flavoured Milk as an Official Partner of the Hunter Ports Newcastle Knights and Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets.

OAK Flavoured Milk has over 100 years of history in the Hunter Region after first being produced in Hexham in 1903, and HSG are delighted to welcome such an iconic Novacastrian brand into our Partner Group.

OAK Flavoured Milk will sponsor the goal posts pads at Knights home matches, become the Official Milk Supplier of both clubs and stock OAK product at Hunter Stadium on match day.

"This is a great partnership for us, especially because OAK Flavoured Milk is quintessential Newcastle,” Hunter Sports Group CEO Troy Palmer said.

“This partnership highlights another national brand believing in the potential of our two sports teams based in the Hunter.”

OAK Flavoured Milk look forward to working with the Hunter Sports Group stable.

"Our partnership with the Knights and Jets allows us to strengthen our brand in our local community while also getting national brand exposure and TV coverage,’ said Melissa Packham, OAK Product Manager.

NSW Cup team cuts close to mining heritage

After months of deliberation, the region’s newly launched NSW Cup team will be officially known as the Illawarra Cutters, officials confirmed this morning.
Featuring the striking scarlet and white colour scheme of the Illawarra Steelers team, the Cutters name originated from the region’s close links with the coal industry, chairman Sean O’Connor said.

‘‘The name Cutters refers to coal-cutters or coal-hewers, men who perform well under extreme conditions, a perfect analogy with the modern rugby league player,’’ O’Connor explained.

In a further boost for the new outfit, Illawarra Credit Union has committed to a three-year sleeve sponsorship deal, while LX Electrical will adorn the shorts.
The Illawarra Cutters play their first game on March 3 against Cronulla at Wollongong’s WIN Stadium.
