I was referring to the use of St.George, no mention of the bank. Just St.George Reds. Are they really struggling for an identity they needed to use another codes club name. Pathetic deluxe.

The Queensland Reds outdraw the Broncos. They have an identity, they just unfortunately also have a geniused sounding naming rights sponsor.

And I've never heard them just called the St George Reds. It's always St George Queensland Reds. Just as they were the QR Queensland Reds before that.

It sounds dumb but they are hardly ripping off the Dragons' name.

Doesn't matter the last year was the first time. It goes against _Johnsy's argument that the Qld Reds are struggling for an identity.

They also had more members than the Broncos and have 15,000 members signed up for next year. They are not ripping off the Dragons.

If the Pirates are looking to tap into being a WA side, which is suggested by their switch to black, then they're crazy for not using the contrasting gold/black/red scheme for the away jersey. I'd have their home jersey red too.

Interestingly, someone on the Jubilee Ave had already seen these pictures and asked the club who confirmed the Illawarra jersey WILL remain as the alternate for 2013.

So perhaps these diagrams were concepts that were yet to be ratified by the club?

I'm quite confident the CS jersey is correct (the club said we were having a new design in 2013, and Reebok have had a fascination with making our merch black - see 2009 charity shield jersey for comparison below) and I think if Reebok designed that heritage it was at the request of the club, so it makes sense.

Perhaps the blood and bandages is for ANZAC, perhaps it was Reebok's away jersey suggestion that got knocked back?

I took those photos and I originally posted them on Rleague's forum. I'd post the full versions, but my post count isn't high enough to post pictures or links.

There are photos of the stock ordering system from a merchandise store. The Dragons assure me that there has been some mistake and the red Steelers design will continue to be the away jersey.

Idea I had for the Roosters. Bit arguable without the V but here it is. Many clubs with multiple colours - one primary and different secondaries, can use this design.

BTW, I got a glimpse of the Bulldogs home jersey for next year. They really need to switch to a new supplier. It is going from fugly, to fuglier.

As an away jersey it's not bad, you dont change their home jersey though, it's one of the best and particularly in it's current arrangement.
