Interesting point about the WiL jerseys. They should be designed with selling them to the female population in mind, not just to wear to the game but also to wear to other events that support female enterprises for example Jane McGrath day or the Worlds biggest morning tea. I'm pretty sure most manufacturers offer a ladies fit jersey as well.

I went to the Wests Tigers/Wenty NSW Cup game on Saturday and I was shocked to see Wenty run out in Parra jersey, shorts and socks. Now I know there is a feeder team deal between the two sides but I thought that this was just taking things too far, especially as there wouldn't have been a clash with the Balmain jersery that the WT's were wearing.
Apparently it's Wenty's away jersey this year and will be worn at ALL away games, while at home they'll wear their traditional black and white. The jersey has a Wenty badge on the left and a smaller Parra badge in the middle with the comp badge on the right.

Personally I think it's a shocking effort by Wenty, lazy and devalues their traditional jersey. But then again I know I'm just being pedantic, but hey, this is the home of Pedantic jersey spotting.

Did Wenty not have the time or money to get an away jersey produced? Reeks of egotism from Parras end if not.

Considering they haven't had an issue previous years, and they have had time to produce an eels 'away' jersey with the appropriate badging and sponsorship... Someone must have decided it was a good idea.

Apparently this is the Raiders Canberra centenary jersey, but it has not been confirmed by the club yet.

The only criticisms I have are that the blue is not dark enough on this mockup and I would have liked to see them go with gold instead of yellow as a point of difference to the Brumbies, other then that it is a pretty standard official ACT jersey.

Got a pic of an actual ACT jersey? I've never seen one before.

Can't stand the side panelling. If accuracy isn't an issue they could have made the yellow slightly lime green to differentiate from the Brumbies. I also prefer the lighter, hazier blue for the Raiders. Have to say it again, this year's ISC collar is streets ahead of last year's.

Cheers. So at least, according to that photo, the blue is pretty accurate. Has that been the ACT jersey all along or has it changed over time?

The Blue is wrong in that photo also, it should be like the blue on the Brumbies jersey. Unless they changed it.

Apart from slight variations of the V and the apparent changing of the blue it has pretty much stayed the same.

Much better then sky blue or maroon wouldn't you agree :p?

Oh BTW, the white under the armpits is their poor way of incorporating the white, it may look sh!t but it is meant to be their.

Fair enough, the royal blue seems to work better for the ACT imo, differentiates them from NSW and Vic.

I don't care for the white and gold touching. it doesn't seem as bold as a gold V would on its own. A lot of local blue/gold clubs make this mistake. A better solution would be a butcher stripe V or, preferably, a double V (one gold, one white - magpies V would be perfect for this). Agree that it looks better than the current NSW/Qld jerseys but their best looks are better than the pic above.

Unless the classic jersey has white armpits then it shouldn't be there. Looks like shit and is lazy design work. As much as I dislike the current Raiders jerseys, I'm glad they didn't ruin them with the sweat stains.

Hopefully it is just the mockup and on the end product the blue is a midnight blue, that is the tradition and if it is done properly it looks much better.

In the long run it doesn't really matter what shade of blue it is I'll still be buying one :D.

My comment about it being better then the sky blue and maroon was tongue in cheek.

But anyway the V on a ACT rugby league jersey has to be a single V of gold or gold and white, if it is going to be a traditional ACT rugby league jersey that is.

The best one I have ever seen was a midnight blue one where the V was a metallic gold, It was unusual in the sense that it had a metallic gold, which generally looks horrible on a jersey but the way that it was done on the dark blue was awesome.

Completely agree that it is lazy design work and that it looks shit. I think their problem was that they wanted to keep the white out of the V and the lines on the shoulders to keep the jersey looking clean and to have that contrast between the blue and the gold more prominent on the jersey, but Andrew Barr wanted all of the official colours present on the jersey and made them change the jersey to add the white in.

On phone so can't post but Storm have just announced a women in league jersey.

Looks like last season's media polo but with thicker stripes with pink shades.

In this case I actually get the sponsor box. Its unnecessary when its used on a plain field (which is pretty much every other jersey).

I like that Storm WIL jersey

It's like the Leeds away one except much, much better

The colours work well together and the sponsor box doesn't destroy the overall design.
