A Parra fan having a dig @ the dragons for being a crap team before a ball has been kicked.

Please remind us again, How long has it been since your club did anything of note ?

A brilliant 42-22 victory over the Broncos at Suncorp in round 21 last season in front of 20k Eels fans(about 2k Broncos fans there),more then likely the greatest victory in rugby league history

A regular season victory counts as "something of note" for some Parra fans. Explains allot.

Broncos 15,300

thats pretty abysmal

If the Broncos are aiming for 30,000 members for this season they'd wanna get a wriggle on.
8 weeks to go to the start of the season & they need to double their present tally

Are they doing those one gamer memberships for the cowboys game again ?

I know they picked up about 5,000 new members for it in 2012

Broncos 15,300

Brisbane population over 2.1 million
Gold Coast population over 510,000
Sunshine Coast population over 300,000
Logan City population over 280,000
Darling Downs population over 280,00

Total 3,470,000 within 2 hours drive of brisbane.

15,300 members from a catchment of about 3,500,00 people.

Disgraceful.

This argument needs to die a quick death.

Its 3m people spread over a gargantuan area, which makes a big difference if you want people to attend a stadium in Brisbane CBD. Sunshine Coast? What? How many people from there would go to suncorp regularly?

Ive got a nagging feeling people that attend stadiums anywhere live fairly close (within say 15kms) of the stadium. And the further you move from the stadium, the smaller the percentage gets. Most Broncos fans that attend regularly probably live within 0 and 20-30mins from the stadium. Talking about 2 hour trips is ridiculous. You might get a handful of people coming from all corners, but they are an overwhelming minority.

According to brisbane they want more non friday night games to allow the many people who travel to games more time to travel, & to attend more often. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who live within 30min - 1 hr travel to Suncorp. You are aware there is a train station that is literally a 5 min walk to Suncorp. Either their fans are willing to travel or they are not.

It doesn't need to die a slow death, it is a reality and a fact that many people travel into brisbane for bronco games. I know there are numerous people who travel the 1.5 hours to Sydney>Illawarra & Illawarra>Sydney games. The fact that Brisbane have only 15,000 members is a bit of a joke when they draw from a pool of almost 4 million. All members don't have to attend every home game.

I'm a member of my club, and I try to attend at least 2-4 games in Sydney each year. Some years I can't but it doesn't mean you do not become a member.

Utter garbage Ipswich is less than 45 minutes by train to Milton station there is free public transport when the donkeys play at suncorp, the fact is for the amount of people in close proximity the attendance really is poor.

I live in ipswich, it is so easy to get to the footy its crazy. Lang park would be one of the easiest stadiums to get to in Australia.

Broncos crowds are lower than they should be. But then again many other clubs' are too. Maybe it helps prove what a lot of people have been saying for a long time, that there are a hell of a lot of Brisbane people who follow the game but don't like the Broncos. The only answer is a second club.

I hate them but the will have 30 odd thousand members come kickoff round 1, it's crazy judging the figure " mid race".

bring in another Brisbane club, imagine if the Crushers endured. Remember it is the Broncos who came crawling back to Lang Park. Thatd have been funny, a decade of Lang Park being the Crushers.

Agreed any moaning about getting to the stadium in Brisbane is farcical, its suburbs are more radial from the CBD and the station is close to the ground with pubs and a lively district on route.

I have travelled by train from gold coast and wynnum on many occasions and it was easy and direct also on time. No excuses in SEQ for Broncos or Tirana fans Imo

Disappointed the arlc don't seem to be doing anything extra to market or promote memberships despite all the money they now have. Could have had a national marketing campaign, some link to the extra bit of the grant to offer say 5000 reduced cost season memberships, better financial incentives for clubs to meet quotas etc. maybe next year when they have more money in the bank?
