McQueen could play up front right? Or is he a specialist 2nd rower (yes I know he played centre/wing).

Hmm I think he has had a game or two there, but that was more from lack of troops. His best position is second row, and the best use Queensland will get of him is getting him to contest for the high ball

I wouldn't bother with him if its as a prop

Suppose the thought process is that Thaiday can push up into the middle if needed and Parker will play the middle third too.

Not a fan of the bench myself.

Would rather

14. Shillington (with Myles at prop, Parker at lock)
15. Lawrence
16. Te'o
17. Papalii

McQueen could defend in the middle for periods but he wouldn't bend the line enough to warrant playing him as a prop.

Wierd, I'm watching the supposedly live announcement on Foxsports.com.au.

It seems obvious that the approach is to go away from large front rowers for the Sydney game. There is a lot of risk there, as it is most definitely diverting from an established game plan.

But it is worth a shot, recent history has told us that mobility can be advantageous on a wet Sydney track.

Go the Mighty Queenslanders!

Surely Papalii is a better choice than McQueen or Gillet?

Either way im really happy for Paps, his time will definitely come, and im certain of his debut this series, but i recon he'd much better than those two named... as a blues fan, happy to see him as 19th man

Weakest bench in quite a while, can't understand it, when Scott and Shillo go off I can see we'll lose some meters in the middle

I know Thaiday and Myles will move into the middle more but that has been a part of NSWs Downfall in the last few years. They're already on the field and cant provide that extra 'oomph' a genuine front rower can. Suprises either Kennedy or McGuire wasn't named. Both look like they could handle it.

Guess whAt, one of them will be there game 2 ...hint hint
