My tip is that Costa will quickly take over Suarez's mantle as the most hated player in the league (outside his own fans).

Yeah, he'll be Suarez minus the scum biting element. Will dive, will annoy opposition fans and will no doubt bag some goals.

I actually think Costa is a tad on the 'overated' scale... he no doubt is a clever player who gets into good positions in the box to poach goals, but you don't often see him score individual crackers.

Also he has the reputation to be hot and cold at times and often loses his head on the field + add to the fact that he is injury prone which is another negative.

My gut feeling is that he will be a solid purchase for Chelsea without being spectactular.

Unless they ruin him like they did to poor old Torres.

I was really pissed off because just before Torres left, he was actually hitting his old form again. Then he was destroyed. Whether it was Chelsea's fault or Torres' fault...I don't know, probably both. But I think that he really thrived on being the 'main man' at Liverpool, it gave him a lot of confidence. The fans were really supportive of him, until he handed in the transfer request  It's been such a pity to see a talent like him just deteriorate. But I think the funniest part about that transfer was the Chelsea fans who made that blue replica of a Liverpool Torres banner, failing to realise that the design was the shankly gates

Classy from Lallana

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpools-adam-lallana-takes-out-3797561

New Liverpool signing Adam Lallana has taken out a full page advert in his local newspaper to say thank you and goodbye to former club Southampton.

The 26-year-old completed a £25million move to Anfield on Tuesday, having spent the past 14 years with the Saints.

And in the Southern Daily Echo, Lallana has thanked fans for their support during his time at the club.

"14 unforgettable years, the memories will last a lifetime," says the advert.

"Thank you Saints fans for your endless support, a place in my heart forever."

Sanchez and Debuchy as good as done.

Next on the list Bender.

We will be going toe to toe with City and Chelsea this season.
