FFS... Jarmila wins 6-0 2nd set, breaking twice and holding twice. Here we go, set 3 is where Kerber will be lethal.

Yeah man, this is unbelievable, but if you look at it, it's Kerber's unforced errors rather than Jarmila picking up.

More that Jarka has dropped her unforced errors right down. 15 in the first set compared to 4 in the second to go with 16 and 14 winners. Kerber has been steady at 11 winners and 6 unforced errors in each set.

6-0 to Jarka BTW

2 more results: Irina Falconi defeats Anabel Medina, and Monica Puig takes out
Anna Tatishvili - both in straight sets.

I'm whoring my own thread dude  this is how much I love the AO. Don't worry, I'll be out of here and focused on the tennis soon enough, just love the opening week of the tennis.

I'm talking about on the court...

Guide us over down 2 breaks now.

Casey gets 2 breaks and takes out set #1 against Vera Zvonareva 6-2. I can understand Vera being a little rusty but I thought she'd breeze by. Casey is more of a doubles specialist now.

And she's out. Put up a good fight in the 2nd set but you can't give away as many points as she did and expect to beat a top player

Well there you go peeps, Kerber wins and relatively untroubled in the 3rd, 6-2. The first of many Aussies to go after round 1.

Mikhail Youzhny is the 2nd man through to round 2, winning in straight sets against
Jan-Lennard Struff, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. Pretty much stayed in 2nd gear.

Here's an interesting stat, the youngest girl in the tournament, 17 year old Swiss girl by the name of Belinda Bencic is close to eliminating the oldest woman in the tournament, 43 year old Japanese woman Kimiko Date-Krumm.

f**k me, Jarmilla is such a f**king head case. From that second set, Kerber was there for the taking. Jarmilla gave more f**king gifts than Santa Claus.

I don't rate Jarmilla, but she threw that match away by not trying to play steady tennis.
