Okely Dokely, will be interesting to see who rounds out the top of the list!

I'm just happy that Leslie Nielsen made it, as he was my #15 and still made the countdown (compared to Kurt Russell at #12 who didn't).

Johnny-Depp_zps0367ce35.jpg

Johnny Depp

Known for: Pirates of the Caribbean films, pretty much anything directed by Tim Burton (except Batman)

Notes: has twice recorded with rock band Oasis, adopted a horse that was his characters (Ichabod Crane) in the film Sleepy Hollow, and bought the house that was once owned by Bela Lugosi.

7.
Anthony-Hopkins-by-Art-Streiber_zpseefc3c97.jpg

Sir Anthony Hopkins

Known for: The Silence Of The Lambs, Thor films

Notes: he never blinks on screen as Hannibal Lecter in the Silence Of The Lambs (apparently, I can't be arsed to check), is a virtuoso pianist, and turned down the role of Alfred in Batman Begins.

Edward Norton

Known for: American History X, Fight Club

Notes: he turned down the role of Private Ryan in Saving Private Ryan, ultimately came down to him and Jim Carrey as to who would take the lead in Man on the Moon, and producers of American Psycho wanted him to play Patrick Bateman.

all that's left is the top 5 - may be a little obvious to some who that 5 is but in what order?

Tom Hanks

Known for: Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Philadelphia, Saving Private Ryan, Captain Phillips

Notes: after a one-shot guest appearance on Happy Days, producer Ron Howard asked him to read for a secondary part in Splash, however he got the lead role instead, turned down the role of Jerry Maguire, and put on 30 lbs to star in A League Of Their Own, and consequently lost 30 lbs to star in Philadelphia.

Robert De Niro

Known for: Raging Bull, Goodfellas, The Deer Hunter, Cape Fear, Taxi Driver

Notes: is one of only 2 actors to win an Oscar for portraying the same character, once held the record for most weight gained for a movie role (Raging Bull), and at least 3 De Niro films have the song "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones noticeably featured in the soundtrack - The Fan, Casino and Goodfellas.

Surprised Hanks didn't finish at #1. I thought he'd be inoffensive enough to garner votes from pretty much everybody

Alright with Bobby in 4th, I reckon Al Pacino has gotta be #1 (those were my suspected top 2).

Jack Nicholson

Known for: The Shining, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, Easy Rider, Batman, A Few Good Men, The Departed

Notes: was asked, along with Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty, to play the role of Michael Corleone in The Godfather, has been nominated for an acting Oscar in five different decades (1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s), and like Kevin Spacey he is a fan of professional wrestling, his all time favorites are Harley Race, Ric Flair and John Cena.

Al Pacino

Known for: Scarface, Serpico, Heat, Dog Day Afternoon, The Godfather (I, II & III), Scent Of A Woman, Any Given Sunday

Notes: has never married, as of 2014, he has appeared in six films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: The Godfather, The Godfather: Part II, Dog Day Afternoon, The Godfather: Part III, Scent of a Woman and The Insider, and some trivia he shares with Jamie Foxx: both men are 2 of only 3 actors in history to be nominated for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor Oscars in the same year. The coincidence is that they both won the Best Actor award, and both did it portraying a blind person.

Notes: auditioned for the role of Robin in Batman Forever but lost out to Chris O'Donnell, scheduling conflicts saw him drop the role of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho to Christian Bale, and as of 2014, he has appeared in seven films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Titanic, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Inception, Django Unchained and The Wolf of Wall Street. Of those, Titanic and The Departed are winners in the category.
