Warriors fans will know this - did the original warrior logo have the tongue sticking out towards the left or right? Maybe an urban myth, but I read somewhere it was changed to being straight because that was seen as good luck.

Warriors fans will know this - did the original warrior logo have the tongue sticking out towards the left or right? Maybe an urban myth, but I read somewhere it was changed to being straight because that was seen as good luck.

The new owners cleaned out the management and coaching structures and also straightened the tongue on the Warriors logo, as a curved tongue is believed to be cursed in Māori culture. Unfortunately this move did not improve the Warriors on field performances.

Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful.. I have a huge interest in team branding, and IMO this jersey is potentially the worst I have ever seen in RL. The design awful, the fern in the V is incredibly naff. Of course, I'm a stickler for the blue, white and green (and red) of the original jersey and would love to see us reclaim those colours however I do understand that the club's moved on... I can't :lol:

GazF's designs are incredible and would love to see his Warriors kit and branding adopted.

The 20th logo is an abomination, the uniform is terrible, and I certainly won't be buying anything related to that line! Will stick with my 2013 away jersey and potentially this year's heritage.

Replace the red with green and that jersey is very decent. Of course that won't happen because red is vodophone's colour.

- im going to guess the shallow angle is just the picture, theyll probably replicate the current template.

- i think the fern is quite nicely done. i still want to see it in the flesh, but its incorporated well.

If they plan to keep the current design long term (revert back in 2016 or 2018) then this is a nice evolution.
Would have preferd this just be used for an indigenous-maori strip but still...

I don't think it's a coincidence that the Warriors shallow chevron of the last few designs matches the eyebrows on the logo almost exactly.

Those Manly jersey's are terrible, it's a mix of a Dragons/Magpies V.

They've done the V properly and accurately in the past with Reebok and it's looked brilliant, just copy it.

The alternate should just revert back to the previous white/maroon hoops style design

In terms of one off design, sure, there have been some duds. In terms of home/away design, this is terrible. Probably the worst we've had in my opinion. It's even worse than the boring ccc templates we had from 2009. The V is shallow, the ferns are ugly and the 20th anniversary logo is atrocious. For the first time I'm actually grateful we hardly wear our home jerseys.

Such a classic Easts logo. Follow the Dogs/Eels in recent years and just go back to it. Modern cartoon logos are garbage. Look at a classic logo like the Pittsburg Steelers above, nothing fancy but instantly recognizable from 50+ years in use.
