2015/16 NBA season

The Blatt firing is ridiculous, they were 30-11 after making the finals without their 2nd and 3rd options last season. Lebron was trying to get Mark Jackson their his whole time. Anyway they heard boos at home after getting blown out by the Bulls for Tyron Lue's first game.

Interesting article. Thanks for sharing.

The way I seer it, as long as Lebron delivers a ring to Cleveland, he can do no wrong. And we'll have to wait to see until the end of the season grand finalie if he can pull it off. If they get routed against GS or SAS, expect the fireworks to head up. Should be a good watch.

This is better than soap opera. lol.

Oh of course if he delivers than it has all been worth it, but what if they continue to lose under Lue(they shouldn't but there are a lot of egos on that team and not much chemistry or leadership)? Lebron has never accepted losing, shit even winning wasn't good enough for him to keep Blatt so if he turns on Lue where do the Cavs go?

Re the article Woj is one of the most respected NBA writers out there but he has shown to be a bit anti lebron in the past, so keep that in mind but he is usually on the money with NBA rumours etc

Never count out the Spurs but it's not looking good...The best defensive team has no answers for the warriors offence. Dominated in every facet so far...

If anybody missed the Kings/Hornets game I recommend you watch a replay. Cousins just exploded for a career game today. 56 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and hit numerous clutch baskets. He's a joy to watch when he plays inside. Reminded me of prime Shaq today fouling out 2 players (nearly a third)...

No one will get near GS over 7. The year is done.

Playoffs is a complete different ball game, the Spurs subscribe to that philosophy more than anyone.

The way GS has beaten the Cavs and now the Spurs in such dominant fashion has been mighty impressive though. Crazy even.

Aldridge was the most disappointing aspect of today's game for me.

I never read that much into a Spurs regular season game as they are the ultimate bigger picture team, but yeah that was a beating. Can't wait for the playoffs. Regular season is always just a long teaser imo.

Well that was f**ked aye lol
I'd like to say it was cause of no Duncan but Warriors totally outplayed Spurs today.
Doesn't mean everything but Warriors made a statement.

Wouldn't jump that far ahead bro
Duncan may have even have been rested on purpose, Spurs have done it in the past vs contenders to not show their full strength.
Still..great win for Warriors and there's a lot of players that under performed from Spurs that'll need to pick it up if this is gonna be the West finals..

Both teams threw in the towel after 3 quarters not just the Warriors.

Um yeah but the Warriors built a 30 pt lead while the spurs were still trying so its fair to say they would of increased that lead had they kept trying considering how dominant they were. That being said the spurs can easily bounce back from that, they play 3 more times so we will see. Hell of a statement though, Curry is having one of the all time great seasons he was amazing yesterday. Watching him shake and bake Leonard and just torch anyone else they put on him was amazing.

Maybe, maybe not. Usually when a team leads by 30 after 3 quarters the 4th quarter betting line will actually favour the trailing team purely because the team ahead has no reason to keep playing at full tilt, run proper plays etc.

Pretty pointless argument anyway because we'll never know, the game was done after 3 quarters.

I did say "if they kept trying" as in if they kept the starters in. The betting does that because once a team is up 30 after 3 they know the stars are coming out for the leading team, isn't that obvious? The warriors were getting whatever they wanted out there, Curry especially was just getting everywhere he wanted too, only Kawhi could slow him down some and even then Curry was still shaking him and had him on skates a few times and he was torching everyone else they out on him. Green had the clamps on LMA big time and overall the Spurs just weren't taking care of the ball and getting cut up defensively, backdoor cuts and uncontested dunks and layups all day.

Yeah it is, I guess we're arguing different things in a way.

In that case it's pretty easy, if we assume the game continues exactly as it had been then the Warriors win by 40..., I don't know what assuming that achieves though.

I wasn't trying to be rude before FYI, re-reading that comment it kind of comes off that way.

What does assuming it wouldn't continue the same way achieve? It is all hypothetical. I think it is a fair assumption that if they kept the starters in the lead would of increased, SAS had no answer for 3 quarters, it is unlikely they would be able to just turn it on in the fourth against the warriors starters.

All good, I basically agree with you anyway, GSW were way too good and SAS appeared to have no answer except throw the ball to Kawhi which must have felt like rare territory for them.

I guess if I had a point I would probably word it another way, usually when a team gets out to say a 25+ point lead I don't really read much into whether the margin is 20, 30 or 40 because they've clearly blown them out and that's what's important. Especially in a case like GSW (and they are a special case because they get out to big leads so quickly), so often we see them lead by 10 after a quarter or 20 by halftime, and the whole complexion of the game is different from then on because the opposing team spends 2-3 quarters playing catch up, shooting make-up 3's that won't be as effective as GSW's, and basically going after from a sensible gameplan in general.

Yesterday was the perfect example. Spurs were ok (still poor by their standards) in the first quarter and a half but once GSW got the lead out to about 20 they started tossing the ball inside to Kawhi who'd shoot it or similar one-pass possessions which obviously is the opposite of their normal game.

The game was still a contest until the 3rd quarter, if anything it showed the Spurs they need some work with Aldridge if Duncan is missing. I enjoyed the minutes for marjonovic

Lillard missing out on the All Star game is pretty disappointing.

I thought he should have go it ahead of Thompson or Aldridge..
