This. I never doubted his motives to leave were genuine even with the stupid Brisbane rumours. He's just not type of bloke. Wouldn't ask for a release unless it was genuine.

Keeping Gagai will be a mistake I think.

If giving Gagai that gets rid of Gidley it'll be worth every penny.

Cap will surely go up soon. 550k now would be about 400k yesteryear so I'm happy to pay it. With Scott leaving, good talent coming through, Gidley most likely f**king off to Super League, there shouldn't be any problems with it. Will most likely play Origin this year too; at least we're not fighting for his signature after it.
