Ohhh and yea Lolrence is still shit no matter where he plays.
Mate what were you watching. Lawrence's transition is looking really promising. He's gone from the scrapheap to an asset again. It's only his 3rd game there. I'm mega excited about the potential.

There is one thing with JT that has amused me with him banging on about the importance of defence before attack....Moses,rather a contradiction if ever there was one, he can not tackle to save himself.

As Siro has struggled in 2nd row & played juniors @ 5/8 & as Moses is our Achilles heel then it's logical that Taylor must bring Siro back @ 5/8 & send Moses to state cup until he is ready for 1sts.This change must be made for us to have any chance of playing in finals this season.

Even in our best performance this season Moses was glaringly shithouse.

Siro has bulked up and slowed down too much to be any good as a five eighth

Lawrence has always run good lines but he lost too much pace to be a centre.

He's now a fast back rower who runs good lines. Give him an extra 5kgs and let him rip in

Siro may have bulked up but that doesn't stop playing him in the 6. We just need him to play like a ball playing lock aka Ben Kennedy, Steve Menzies or even Jamie Lyon. Let Brooks dominate and just play a role.

I don't think Sironen has the running game of a 6 anymore. He's in limbi between where he was and wants to be and where he is and where he should be

What a great idea to let Austin go,we dont seem to have many other options,MM isn't physically developed enough for FG which is a huge disadvantage to himself and the team, hopefully when he builds up he maybe the answer to our 5/8 position if not, possibly Martin...!
Anybody have any short term fixs.....eg.Bubler boy in France !

I guess my thoughts were based on the fact he is still easily contained at 2nd row , still cant produce a line break , still can't catch a pass and still can drop of tackles. He has improved since being moved but a long way to go for me to consider him a good 2nd rower.

I'd argue he's better than Sironen.

And Lawrence has a bit more heart so he will get better at first contact in tackles. As a centre these days, you are taught to go high and stop the offload first. He just has to change that and go in low and he'll be fine.

He runs good strong lines as opposed to Sironen. Lawrence will get better. Sironen has had 18 months to get better and nothing has happened.

Magpie guy it's not that crazy a suggestion. We now have a faint hope of playing finals after that extraordinary win.Its beholden on Taylor to f**k Moses of as he's clearly out of his depth. As we have scarce options thanks to the brain dead gumps who allowed Austin to leave while we had him on the cheap for this yr then Moltzen has obviously got to come into calculation for the 5/8 spot.

Also Lawrence is light yrs ahead of Siro as a 2nd rower. The reason why rowdy gets our respect is his integrity. He will always put in unlike a few other forwards one who we've been stuck with for 10 yrs to many & the other whose surname has fast tracked him to 1sts way before earning it.

I'm confident rowdy & Lovett can hold there own over the long haul in 1sts particularly if they are supported with the kind of ferocious impact Taupau had against the premiers.

For this year Ive no problem with Lawrence and Lovett in back row. Need to buy some quality in offseason.

Sironen, Moltzen or Martin at 6. Dont care which one.

Left field: 7 Farah 6 Brooks 9 Cherrington...... Better than carrying Moses. Cherrington is quality.

I like that Shanghai coz I really believe Cherrington needs to be in our top 17 probably as our 4th benchie with Ava Sue & lodge if he can maintain the kind of impact he had @ souths.

Im wondering whether it was brownie's niggle & intensity that got the best out of Lodge on fri night coz we need the young giant to step up regularly as he has the physical dimensions to be a top draw prop.

Agreed, Lawrence can hit a hole beautifully, his hands are still a bit of a worry, but he can work on that. The way Nofa and Simona went in the centres I can't see Lawrence playing there again, but he can probably resurrect his career in the back row like Luke Lewis did.

Letting Austin go was a very stupid decision. We need to move away from marketing fairy tales around our players (e.g. Brooks/Moses the next DCE/Foran combo). If there was no hype around Moses we would have extended Austins contract and Moses would be forced to stick it out in NSW cup. He would provide as depth for Halves and Fullback and develop his game.

Imagine a spine with an in form Austin at 6...our attack would not be an issue that is for sure
