2015 R14 v Souths

Letting Austin go was a very stupid decision. We need to move away from marketing fairy tales around our players (e.g. Brooks/Moses the next DCE/Foran combo). If there was no hype around Moses we would have extended Austins contract and Moses would be forced to stick it out in NSW cup. He would provide as depth for Halves and Fullback and develop his game.

Imagine a spine with an in form Austin at 6...our attack would not be an issue that is for sure

Youd have to think we would be close to top 4. No real injuries yet.

I thought you were saying before in another thread a couple of months ago that you didn't rate Austin?

Uummm...show me where... I was as vocal as anyone it was stupid to let our 2014 Player of the Year go while under contract.

His form this year if he were playing for us would have us near the top four. This comment doesnt say I rate him or not, just where I think we would be on the ladder with him.

Oh please. Wouldnt make most NRL teams.
Would be in the bottom couple of five eights in the comp.

Silly decision to let him go early. Would have been a good role player for us somewhere.

Has much more talent than Reynolds. Better all round player.
Reynolds is perhaps the worst five eight in the comp.....after Moses.

Bottom three = Moses, Reynolds and Austin and Benji.

Very vocal indeed.

Im praying that Moses has a breakout game soon. I don't know what it is but he just doesn't look dangerous with the ball in hand. Brooks gets the ball and the defense f**king shit themselves. They know how fast he is and know that Tedesco will pop up at any moment and make them all his bitch.

I feel that Moses needs to play unstructured.

The structure and advice I'd like to see him get is from Fletcher...maybe he can gain confidence playing at that level.

In saying that who else do we have that can play 5/8? I've seen Martin and I really like what I see but it was mentioned somethere on here that due to cap restrictions we can't use him this year. Is that correct?

The Groundhog may come good like you say (and for his sake I really hope he does) but he seems to be getting left behind and this has the effect of Brooks trying too hard to over compensate and limiting our attack to just one side of the field.

There's only two players who could even be considered to replace Moses and I don't want to see either of them in the halves.

Farah and Simona

Moltzen would have been another option except his shoulder injury rules him out. Could Drinkwater do it?

PS I have a really bad feeling Farah is going to injure his shoulder further in this weeks SOO.

Moltzen is done.

Trained fully for State Cup and rang the staff to tell them he didn't feel right to play on Saturday just before the NRL game.

He had talent but a lack of willingness to play through pain with the aid of injections says everything the club should need to know from a guy on the last year of a massively overvalued contract

That wishful mm breakout game ain't goin to happen. His had half a season in a team with fewer injuries than we are accustomed to & he has regressed at a rapid rate.It was so disappointing to see how clearly inferior Moses was to everyone else in the team in that magnificent win on fri nite

We can't continue to carry this gargantuan liability.

Problem is that apart from Siro I don't know what other options we have.If only rowdy had good hands !

Wittyfan I haven't given up on the kid just yet.Its just at this stage of season where we have a faint hope of making 8 we can't carry ur love child any longer.

He needs to spend the rest of season in Fletcher's team & add some bulk to his bony structure plus regain confidence in the hope that he can exhibit whatever abilities he's supposed to have in '16.
