Tigers v Titans should go close to selling out next week at Campbelltown. Tigers on fire and Hayne heads back to where it all began.

Warriors deserve a crowd near 20K too.

Should go close, but being 3pm on a Saturday who knows

Involved in some big crowd pullers these last few weeks

All important games

Vs Titans at Cambo (potential sell out)
Vs Penrith at Pepper (sell out)
Vs Warriors in NZ (17-18k)
Vs Raiders at Leichardt (potential sell out)

Funny that cause my club kicked off in 1882, not some fake blow in club like these Cronulla lot with no tradition or trophies lol.
Be careful.
The robins major recent trophies are a challenge cup in 1980 and a reserve grade title in 2006.

The Sharks won the Cup final here in 79 and reserve grade in 2013.

You haven't troubled a premiership in first grade in generations and won't make the finals again this year. The Sharks could well win the minor premiership and the big show.

Having a reasonably large amount of teams in the running for a few spots should help keep this years average above last years.

We won the premiership equivalent in 84 and 85, 19 major trophies all up. Sure we are sht now but at least we did have some glory years :)

Was a bit shocked to hear that this will be Haynes 1st ever game at Campbelltown Stadium as a NRL player.

Parra's first game at Campbelltown against Wests Tigers was in 2012, however Hayne was injured. In fact Parra hardly plays there or Leichhardt. I think the following year they played at Leichhardt for the first time in a while.

Just read this

Greenberg, while supporting the bunker and the manner in which it had sped up the game, said the NRL was examining whether freeze-frame should be allowed to be used when ruling on incidents such as double movements.

"There's a real challenge. Our forefathers who wrote the rule book back in 1908 almost certainly never considered freeze-frame technology," Greenberg told Triple M on Saturday.

Can't believe people are complaining about the use of LO. Clearly a success here. 14k in at LO is 100x better than even 25k at Olympic for (almost) all actors involved - the players, the crowd and the TV viewers.

There are people (mainly those who live outside of Sydney) who think that hills are embarrassing. They ignore what the general rugby league supporter wants in order to make the NRL look like the A League.

and yet only 14k turned up, if it had rained half that number? Getting 20-25k in a 30k stadium, now there's an ambition worth aiming for in the NRL. Hopefully clubs like the Tigers will see sense and relegate these grounds to the occasional heritage nostalgia game, abandon the empty vessel that is ANZ and move 90% of games to the western Sydney stadium in 2019.

Maybe we need to start measuring attendance at suburban grounds that hold under 40k by % of capacity compared to what makes the venue 'seem' like a packed house or close to full attendance.

A full suburban ground, no matter the capacity (assuming near enough to 20k), is a great look for the game. Once these games start coming close to 100% of capacity attendance, then we can look at moving it to larger stadia. In saying this, when a game becomes the hottest ticket in town and people that want to go are missing out because the game is sold out, this is also quite desirable (something the administration does not understand). It builds hype, looks great on TV, and encourages future potential fans to attend a future game or get in earlier next time.

For example, the Tigers game at LO got ~14k out of a capacity of 20k ie. 70% full. For a crowd to look full at LO, I'm thinking around the 70% mark. So this game was on par based on this simple analysis. Of course you can take into account other variables such as the weather or ladder position, but all things being equal, this insight should work on most games.

I don't think it is better than 25k, but 14k at Leichhardt is certainly better than a similar sized crowd at ANZ.

I'm happy to have the right game, right stadium policy. And I think the future stadium at ANZ will make atmosphere a lot better as it will have the three modes depending on the expected crowd.
