Wow roosters crowds have dropped. I suppose it matches their performances.

Losing a third of your attendance is a pretty severe jumping ship! Did they get more glamorous fixtures last year ie public holidays that explains some of the drop?

Vs Titans at Cambo (potential sell out)
Vs Penrith at Pepper (sell out)
Vs Warriors in NZ (17-18k)
Vs Raiders at Leichardt (potential sell out)

The Penrith game will get about 16k if the weather is good, Sunday would have been better.

ANZAC day always makes a difference.

Dragons would've been even more f**ked this year w/o it

Our crowds have been very poor this year, no doubt. To be fair though it has been a perfect shit storm of circumstances.

Obviously form is the number 1 factor and having our worst start to a season in 50 years didn't help. Add to that the 4 games on Thursday/Monday as well as 1 in Gosford and the state emergency like conditions against Wests, we should be afforded some leeway.

Still, it isn't good enough and needs to improve.

Woeful team, too many Mondays and Thursdays, a 3000 crowd in a cyclone. Oh well.

and yet only 14k turned up, if it had rained half that number? Getting 20-25k in a 30k stadium, now there's an ambition worth aiming for in the NRL. Hopefully clubs like the Tigers will see sense and relegate these grounds to the occasional heritage nostalgia game, abandon the empty vessel that is ANZ and move 90% of games to the western Sydney stadium in 2019.

You must've really gone off deluxe when the NRL turned around and listed a KPI of 20k crowds.

I've set myself a KPI of only sleeping with women at the standard of Scarlett Johanssen in LOST IN TRANSLATION and I've never reached that particular Key Performance Indicator.

The Tigers bandwagon is very strong once the fans start to believe, if both teams win this weekend it will get a sell out

Weather permitted of course

Seems like a potentially good week for crowds with every match still having some impact on the top. I'll give the obligatory early predictions that turn out to be awful
Dogs v Manly - 14K (should have been 20K if played on a different day)
Broncos v Parra - 35K
Tigers v titans - 17K (very weather dependent)
Warriors v rabbitohs - 20K
Dragons v sharks - 14K (hoping the rivalry plus sharks fans bring it up)
Knights v panthers - 14K
Roosters v cowboys - 10K
Raiders v storm - 13K (could have been close to a sellout in the right time slot, shame).

Overall I'm expecting a good week of crowds. The fact that a lot of top 8 positions are still open means we should have a decent finish crowd wise and keep our average above last years.
