Ok champ here goes, last post as this is a crowd thread
Avg financial loses over last four years $2.2million per year( more than your predicted revenue from your shops)
Still Carrying a Debt of at least $5.5million despite receiving $10mill up front
Operating on one of the smallest revenues in the NRL and around $8mill a year less than the bigger clubs, no way your development is closing much of that gap
your fanbase is relatively static and no real reason to think it is going to jump beyond the current 11-12k who turn up to most games or become members.
You're just fortunate rugby league has a history of being small minded and lacking vision meaning small clubs like yours can remain relevant.
Now back to crowds. Storm crowd as expected. rainy Monday night, you reap what you sow NRL.
You lost it with"No way the development is closing that gap".The profits from the development yet to be realised will not only cover outstanding debts but still after refurbishment of the club
leave the club with money in the Bank.To be supplemented by annual retail rental.
In addition application has gone through for a further 200 units plus hotel on the site, and should that get the whistle the club will have further monies to Bank.
The Pirates will not have that sort of fallback.in a market that is flooded with fumble ball.
And further down the track a possible A League team there .will further underpin financially the club.
You do understand a refurbished club with restaurants will provide further income.
" Fanbase is static" Membership well up this year, also clubs sponsorships worth well more the year than last .It has already jumped from prior years dopey,
And taking this into account, with a stadium that ATM has little cover, but planning for stadium updates in the future.
Another thing, the Knights in a one city rl stronghold has less members than the Sharks, yet bigger crowds.
You keep looking at the past ,because it appears patently obvious you have zero idea of the future Shark's plans. And zero idea what is planned re housing and construction in the Shire.
BTW how's the Pirate's licenced leagues club and own ground going ATM?;-)
The former Broncos CEO Bruno Cullen did an audit of Cronulla's books and plans couple of years ago ASADA time.He stated (not my words or a Shark's words),based on what he has seen and taking all into account, the club should become one of the top 5 in the NRL.
Now of course we take the words of a Pommy residing across a desert ,over the comments of a respected guy like Cullen. As teh saying goes"that'll do me."
Seriously mate concentrate on your own backyard, instead of losing many backers here, because you are doing a damn good job of getting people offside.
