2017 Crowd Watch

It's in North Queensland bruh

Hah I feel incredibly stupid now. Might be even more impressive. Everyone has all but written the cowboys off this season and tonight thanks to all the injuries. Great to see a sold out crowd wherever the game is.

Edit: considering how far the fans have to travel to come you would think Thirsday nights would totally destroy any crowds for the cowboys. If anything they're the team most impacted by that timeslot so this is a huge effort.

The only bad thing that will come out of it is the nrl will truly believe Thursday nights work based off tonight's crowd lol

Very impressive though, even under the circumstances (playing for a finals spot and biggest rival)

I was expecting around 15-18k tbh

Outside of Origin and the GF these are the biggest two games of Rugby League for the season in QLD.

That's true but seeing the crowds that have turned out for big Thursday night games the rest of the season it makes you pretty sceptical. No doubt the recent rivalry and constant close matches have made the matchup bigger than ever. Great to see.

Well they let you f**kers down didn't they
Ha

Using your teams performance as a crowd figure excuse is ok now?
Mine won the lot
We've had more to live up to than any other club in the comp.

we were told we were going to win the comp this year
not just go well
if we'd got even close to those expectations theres no doubt we'd of broken our attendance average record of some 17500 odd set in 1995 i think
our crowds still rose despite our team stinking the joint up from pretty much the start of the season

your team are the premiers , & til last week were a top 4 bound side
so they're are few excuses for the sharks im afraid

According to multiple sources (Cowbs, Tvl Bully twitter) tonights derby is sold out. Absolute f$&@ing miracle tbh seeing as though the 'tards running our game scheduled it for a Thursday. Big ups to all the NQ and Bris fans in NQ.

that is extroidinary tbh
the smallest centre where an NRL team is based ( 170K ) , getting 25K people to a Thursday night game FFS
thats just wow stuff ...
its an elimination final pretty much for the cows against their biggest rival & their fans have reacted the best way they can
support.. & heaps of it !!

Dragons fans take note , you're playing your biggest rival too at a venue with oodles of room to make the 8
do the right thing , Dogs fans will turn up to send Reynolds off , no club does this type of thing better
so match them.
Manly fans take note too , Brookie should have the police closing the ground at 4.30pm on saturday due to its capacity being reached & near exceded , your season is on the line
nothing less will do

Give me a break. Is that really how a teams form is judged? .
Its the way the home form is judged. You peanut.

A teams home ground record isn't he be all end all of how they've performed in a given year. More to the point the home record isn't that terrible anyway.

As I said using your logic basically every team outside of the top 4 could claim their form has been average. Hell even teams above that could make the same claim.

This time last year this thread was polluted with whinging about the unjustness that the Raiders would potentially have to play a home prelim in Sydney... did the NRL end up amending that for 2017?

A home teams home record is an indication of the home teams form.
All but one of our 5 wins at home came at less than 6 points. We have been very poor at home.
No other team has had such bad home form as cronulla who will play in the finals. None

Are you thick?
