Is there Fumblers in Melbourne next Saturday?
Parra are on the Sharks / Cowboys side of the draw.
You keep romanticising the 90s like it's some great period and yes we had some great crowds and you have great ideas but there were a lot of shit crowds too. Many worse than today.
Final regular season crowd figures are in for this season. Total crowd figures for the 192 premiership games was 2,864,464 at an average of 14,919 per game. This is down by the small margin of just 1.9 percent on last years figures. This seasons average is lowest since 2004 when it was 14,670.
Week 1 predictions
Melbourne 27k
Roosters 24k
Manly 18k
Sharks 20k
Would be great if we have 4 week 1 games over 20k.
It's possible... but...
Outside of the Manly/Penrith game I think you will go pretty close with your estimates.
Unfortunately Manly and Penrith may struggle to get close to that mark.

well having the biggest sydney game outside of anzac day and easter on a thursday night twice doesn't help
If we delved deeply into crowd figures we probably could come up with a lot of reasons why they are down, and yes Thursday night games is one of them.
