You are kidding right? Some on here believe the tv revenue will reduce next time around. Generating bigger customer bases is going to be critical to future revenue. The money to be had from a big supporter base is massive compared to the grant from tv.

Compared to the potential $13mill nrl grant next year, the tv money Is chump change if you can build a fanbase this size.

The nrl has to nominate 65 "premium" games. Fta can then choose where it places those 65 games.

We can reveal the upcoming five-year broadcast deal quarantines 65 premium games – a third of the season total – for the free-to-air network to select the time slots.

Importantly, the NRL will pick the 65 games.

But once those are selected, the network can request them where it sees fit within the draw.

2 good qland crowds. Shame re scheduling of the two Sydney games as they could have also topped 20k with better timeslots and marketing. Newcastle seemed low coming off a rare win?

Would anyone have cared if dragons and cowboys games had both kicked off at 7:30pm with them being on multi channel on fox and the Bulldogs game had been 6pm on Sunday instead?

a word like premium is meaningless unless you define it
what have they got to lose , they send a very clear message to 9 in year one of the next deal
we don't like Thursdays , we don't like 8pm kick offs , we don't like 18 Brisbane games on Fridays
so see our 65 games we;ve chosen for you ??
