I've been told 24 November and given Country-City is being announced Monday I wouldn't be surprised if that's correct. R1 already leaked too. We can't be far away.

The first two aren't leaks, they've been the case for several years.

That Round 1 we got isn't entirely right. I'm told the Warriors and Panthers' opponents are around the wrong way. Dragons at home to Penrith (likely Kogarah), Knights away to Warriors

Only one of them play at Adelaide Oval each weekend - in early June AFL is scheduled on Thu & Fri for the venue so it would be free on the Sat and/or Sun.

The Sydney Roosters will host a 'home' game in Adelaide in 2017 the club announced on Sunday morning.

The match will be played at one of the country's most iconic grounds – Adelaide Oval – and will be the first time that the Sydney Roosters have played in South Australia.

South Australian Tourism and Sport Minister Leon Bignell joined Roosters CEO John Lee, coach Trent Robinson and senior player Mitchell Aubusson, as well as NRL Head of Football Brian Canavan, to make the announcement at Adelaide Oval.

"This match is a fantastic win for South Australia and I would love to see it pave the way for Adelaide to host one of sport's most iconic rivalries – State of Origin," said the Hon. Leon Bignell MP.

"We are confident Adelaide Oval will draw a spirited crowd to watch some of Australia's best athletes in action, both for this clash and any other NRL matches that may follow," he added.

The NRL confirmed that the Roosters will host the Melbourne Storm in Adelaide, with further details of the round and date to be confirmed upon the release of the NRL draw.

"Adelaide Oval is one of our country's most iconic grounds, and to have the opportunity to play at the ground is something we're all really looking forward to," said Roosters coach Robinson.

The Roosters have also unveiled details of a special South Australia membership to coincide with the announcement, with membership options available for adults, juniors and families that include all exclusive membership benefits as well as reserved tickets to the match in Adelaide. Further details can be found on the Roosters website.

"There's no doubt that there is an appetite for rugby league in South Australia and we're keen to do what we can to continue to grow the game," said Roosters CEO John Lee.

"We're looking forward to engaging with the local community in lead-up to the game," he added.

The announcement confirms the Roosters 2017 home fixtures schedule, with 10 home games to be played at Allianz Stadium, one home game to be played at Central Coast Stadium, and one home game to be played at Adelaide Oval.

That is smart by the Roosters. Lets be honest they won't get 20k against the Storm at Allianz so good decision.

Well they did in 2013

But yes, generally not and melbourne is as good an opponent as any. SA residents have no love for melbourne so it won't be like taking the cowboys to darwin, knights to gosford (although that still may happen) or the warriors to Christchurch.

This surely has to be a Saturday game. the venue is available for 3 of the 4 saturdays in June.
