Brilliant night of crowds. The competition will do very well this year due to the variety of teams doing well. The Dragons, Tigers, Knights and Warriors have a much better fan base that will actually go to games than the Roosters, Sharks

So far the weather has been very good except a few game days in North QLD. That's crucial but shows the game is still pulling the fans in. Very resilient this code despite poor marketing from various clubs. Mind you their is occasional good marketing however that should be normal.

you need to look up the word offended and what it means. I think what you said was churlish and moronic, there's a massive difference. Now f**k off, stop fouling up this thread and take your horse with you.

oh hyper sensitive one
please explain what was churlish & moronic about what I said about crowds at ANZ so far in 2018
I'd suggest they were neither & again , because I dared suggest a bulldogs crowd was under par
& that was being kind , it was downright pathetic
you got the poopy's LOL

so unless you can elaborate , you ... f**k OFF & take your overly touchy , cranky old man syndrome somewhere else

Gold Coast fans clearly don’t travel to Suncorp for their game vs Broncos given the poor crowds.

Brisbane fans clearly have no interest in Titans.

Would have been a massive failure

Poorly marketed. Decent marketers might have put on "Commonwealth Games Welcome "promotion. But nothing was done.

I couldn't give a stuff about what you think about Canterbury, they aren't relevant to the discussion and aren't why I think you should f**k off. Your overall wont with your post to was to compartmentalise and frame crowds in general negatively and it makes you look like a dickhead, and added nothing to the discussion.

Nothing hyper sensitive about it, and I'm definitely not the only person who thinks your musings are churlish and moronic.

I don't understand why they have taken so many games away? from what I could find Robina Stadium is only being used for Rugby Sevens and thats only on from the 13th to 16th?

They should of stayed at home and with some good marketing gotten some of the comm games crowd to attend, could of worked with the games to have it as a kind of "exhibition match", they'd surely get a larger crowd than usual and also potentially introduce the game to a lot of new people

Well pointed out! Once again an example of rugby league hiding itself from an international audience!

They may not have had a choice, they’re not the stadium owners after all.

perhaps, but what does anyone gain from the stadium being empty and unused?
I have heard that for major events like Comm Games, World Cup, Olympics etc there’s often a requirement for stadiums to be vacant for X number of weeks prior to the event, not just on event days.

AFL was crowing about the 40k that watched the women at the same stadium with a gold coin donation, but this NRL crowd are all paying full price.
The AFL won't be crowing about getting only 33k to the Fremantle game at Optus yesterday.

if you'd care to take the post in the context of my reply , Stallion indicated among other factors , the increase in attendances so far in 2018 could have been attributed to the cheaper tickets & food prices at ANZ , I merely said we hadn't seen any evident increase at that venue in 2018 to date & only a churlish moron would disagree

I'd suggest your hyper sensitive cranky pants reaction indicates who the dickhead is here : )

Not a great crowd in WA terms, but when you consider it would lucky to have got 5 figures if on the Gold Coast, then in crowd terms there is some uplift.

Whilst good to take games to regional areas pre season, it isn’t going to help crowd counts in the season proper. Surely a ‘home’ game at Townsville or Brisbane would be both commercially and crowd positive?

NRL got 38k at Optus 4 weeks ago with no home team playing (obviously). Fremantle gets 5k less.

And if the game was better run we would have a legit RL9’s by now in the games and a rl festival involving nines and titans game could have been a big part of the games. If only!

It was a suns home game, it was an extra cost to Freo fans who’ve already paid $400 plus for memberships.
33k is a bad crowd for a suns game? Nice that nrl beat an afl game in Perth but let’s not get over excited lol.

You mean double headers at both? No point in Eden Park for regular season games unless it’s a double header.

No I mean have the whole round at Eden Park but for 2 games at Wellington. So 6 games at EP over 4 days. And a DH at Wellington on Saturday.

Would the crowd really have been that much bigger at the other venue? Game only sold out the day before. Eden Park would have sold, what, another 5k tickets?

IMO full house at Mt Smart is better than a 60% full Eden Park, for fans at the ground as well as the broadcast.
