knights have 16k members so most attending tonight would have paid for tonight months ago. Soccer tomorrow not a factor.

Yes those prices are ridiculous! Guarantee its members lobbing up. However Souths fans would have copped the hit tonight.

Well and truly the record for Bathurst. Next highest was Panthers v Sharks 8824 in 2014.
I was at that game in 2014. Blowed if I know where they were going to fit another 1500 or so in the place. Lucky it was cold because it would have been sardine-like.

Well done Newcastle fans, showing the rest of the comp that if you care about your team you’ll get to the game and not use ko time as an excuse.

Great turnout as always for the Knights. Unfortunately we’ll probably cop even more games in this shit time slot because of our fans loyalty. On a Saturday or Sunday arvo or even a couple of hours later we could’ve pushed 30k.

Ticket sales for Warriors game today doesn't appear as strong judging from Ticketek compared to previous weeks. Hopefully 15,000+ today.

Had a great night out in bathurst right game right venue. The local community really got behind this despite what some posters say not naming names, these games are a lot more important than the crowd figure. As I’m walking around bathurst I see so many people in league jerseys either local or nrl clubs it’s good to see.

It's a far more easier and attractive code to watch than its rivals. Deserves better in so many ways. And bigger crowds are overdue.

Seen you say this a few times. What do you mean it deserves more?

Doesn't any business get exactly what they deserve in terms of patronage?

The NRL and by extension the sport, reaps what it sews

Compared to other football codes I'm a firm believer the code of rugby league should be at least placed 2nd in so far as worldwide participation and support or perhaps rivaling soccer. However a number of factors including the repression of this code courtesy of union, has inhibited it's destiny as a universally appealing and known football code. Some sports can be more deserving (like rugby league )but have cultural barriers limiting their market reach. You being a rugby league supporter on a rugby league website would be a believer in this code? Surely? Unless you are not?
