exactly... AFL fans either follow NRL or they don't.... all the hate comes from NRL fans towards the AFL... it's hilarious and pathetic at the same time.
This is a bizarrely one sided view.

And pockets of RL fans are the same in return to AFL (see: this thread). With due respect think you need to read some(some) AFL fan's comments on the Roar, about the NRL and SOO and International rl. If that doesn''t exhibit hate, then Trump likes Hillary.
Of course that is not the majority viewpoint, but they are not backwards in coming forwards to bag rl at every opportunity.
What makes you think a doggies home game can get 20k+?And pockets of RL fans are the same in return to AFL (see: this thread).
Now can we get back to discussing crowds?
CAN v PEN @ GIO - 11,000
GLD v SOU @ CBS - 13,000
MAN v WAR @ AMI - 15,000 (capacity is 18k)
NEW v SYD @ MJS - 18,000
PAR v NQL @ TIO - 10,500 (highest there was a touch under 12k - this fixture last year)
CRO v WST @ SGS - 12,000
MEL v BRI @ AAMI - 17,000
CBY v SGI @ ANZ - 24,000
That's because they are Eeyore's posts.Just did.
There is not one mention of Oriigin on the main page apart from them saying it would be great if they brought back AFL Origin. No mention of NRL in their crowd thread. Unlike here where every third post mentions the AFL.
Mostly ex-pats around where I was sitting.Really 40k travelled on a weds night? Lol
Thanks for telling Victorians what their state says and does from your lofty QLD perch lolThere is most definitely animosity from Victorians towards NRL. However, it is driven by the AFL itself and its interested parties/proxies in the media and social media.
Regular joes feed off that and stoke the major insecurities they have about their game. While they may show interest and even support it is always with a qualifier.
Public holiday Monday...What makes you think a doggies home game can get 20k+?

Forecasts I'm looking at show clearing Sunday and fine on Monday - ANZ crowd should hopefully be bang on. Depends how many Dragons fans make the trek as they're commonly anti-ANZWe're looking at a wet weekend in Sydney, think ANZ crowd a bit optimistic and Sharks game (although hoping for ,more)ditto if hissing down.
Not here in Melbourne.
Guys, this is massively off-topic now, and no longer relevant to crowd discussion. Take it elsewhere or posts go.
Yep, I originally was thinking 20k+ but thinking just under given the weather.Newcastle are hoping for a crowd of 25,000 as it's the annual Voice for Mining match - https://www.theherald.com.au/story/5455248/knights-to-dig-deep-for-mining-fraternity/?cs=12
But with high chance of showers in the late arvo/early evening, it will probably hurt the crowd for a 5:30 match

Public holiday Monday...
big financial newsThere’ll be 5 dogs fans there at best
